You enter the train, coming back from Christmas holidays with your family. You look out the window as you enter the gate to your school. Your excited to finally see your boyfriend after weeks of not seeing him. You grab your bags and run to your dorm. Your eyes widen as you remember all of your memories that you made.
You run to the dining room to find all of your friends, you see Christina, your best friend. You both run to each other and hug each other tightly and talk about your holidays. You both walk back to your dorm and sit down and put all of your stuff away. You finally get called down for dinner with whole school. You sit down at your assigned table and start to eat. You feel eyes staring at you from another table, you look over and Peter gazing at you, you missed him. You weren't meant to leave the table until you were excused, but you missed him so dearly you ran to him as fast as you could. You hugged him tightly, he hugged you back, but it didn't seem genuine. You looked at him deeply in the eyes, he looked at you and smiled. You asked him if he was okay, he answered contrivedly with "I'm fine hon". You grabbed his hand and kissed his forehead and walked back to your table before you got caught.
Soon enough you wake up in your dorm and sit up and stare at your clock. The school gives a week of spare time before you have to go back to school. You get ready for the day and walk outside with Christina. You both sit on a tree branch, where you first met each other. You talk for about 30 minutes before you are interrupted, by Peter. You jump off the tree branch landing only a few centimetres away from his face, you stand there for a few seconds before both of you blush and turn away. He grabs your hand, you turn around and smirk, you ask him "what did you want to tell me babe?" still smiling. He looks you deeply in your eyes and tells you "i just wanted to tell you i love you, and i hope nothing i do will ever change how you feel for me". You hug him and say "of course not, i love you to". He turns around and walks away, while you stare at him while he walks into the surrounding fog. You return to talking to Christina and don't think anything of Peters weird behaviour.
You have 5 days until you start school and you want to make the most of it. You stand up out of your bed and find a note that had been slid under your door. You pick it up and unfold it, you read "meet me at the tree at 9:00am". You look at your clock, it is 8:50, you run around anxiously trying to find clothes to wear. You walk out of your dorm to the tree, you wait until it is 9:05, and see a shadow ascending from behind you. You turn around to see Peter, he tells you "i cant see you anymore y/n", you reply "what! but i love you peter, i cant loose you!". He quietly says "I don't want to hurt you". You reply with "what did i do to deserve this". He frowns briefly and walks into the distance.
You find yourself talking to Christina once again, you complain to her about Peter and what happened. You walk slowly with Christina back to your dorm, on the way you see Peter leaning against the wall, you walk towards him but he turns around and walks away too quickly for you to get to him. You feel your eyes start to grow heavy as you let your emotions get the better of you. You walk quickly to your dorm with Christina while she hugs you while you fight the tears away. You say quietly to yourself "why would he not love me?". Christina overhears you and says loudly "of course he does sweet heart!". You question everything as you go to sleep, making it hard to get any rest.
