•03• So Sudden

It was evening, she go straight at home and refuses to stay at Saerom's house when Saerom asks her.
Gyuri wakes up from a loud thud of thunder. and for you to guess it, she's really scared of it.

"M-mom" she mumbles onherself, she really needs someone to accompany her right now if not, her fear in thunders will attack her.

a minute after she told herself to relax and it will be okay, she heard a knock on her door.

yes it is her Mom.

'i hope it's her' she said to herself.

"Gyul? baby are you awake right now? can you let me come in?"

she stands up after she hears it. yes it was her mom and that time the thunder's roar is slowly calming.

"I need to talk to you right now.. hope u will be okay after this, i know this is so sudden but.. i need this, your father needs this." her mother finally spilled the truth and yes this will be the start of this stupid 'Marriage Life.'

She gulped of what she hears. she knows that this will be serious.

"why all of a sudden? i expect you to help me here because of my fear of thunder, mom"

Her mom's face is getting serious and she's scared of it.

"I know that's why i decided to come here and why not talk to you about this so you can prepare yourself"

'Prepare myself? for what? did she say that we're going to leave this country again? gosh! i'm sick of it hope it's not' she tries to calm down but her head is really puzzled right now, she don't want to talk this serious especially when she's not feeling well.

"Gyul. we need you to marry someone" her mom told her with a calm voice, she told her straight to the point, not wanting to waste time anymore, they need to do this as soon as possible.

OMG DID SHE SAID I WILL MARRY SOMEONE? WTF IS THAT? I'M STILL IN COLLEGE! WHAT THE HELL AND WHY SHOULD I? THIS IS MY LIFE AFTER ALL! this is all at her head right now while processing to understand what her mother told her.

"Mom! are you out of your mind? you want me to marry someone at this age??!" she almost yelled at her mom but she remembers that this is still her mom that she's talking to right now.

"Yes, i know this is all hard bu-" her mom can't continue what she's saying when Gyul cut it off.

"This is all for business, right? you and dad planned this!!" she's tearing up and her mom saw that she want to escape the reality but she knows that she can't, and she's not the type of daughter that will disobey her parents, cause' after all they're her parents.

"Shh. this will be alright trust me in this, gyul, i really need you right now, our business sales is getting low, and the solution of this partnership is you will marry the Roh's one and only daughter" her mom said this in calm tone, she don't want to hurt her daughter but.. she can't do anything to stop this, this is her husband's will.

Gyuri's POV

Here i am, watching the while ceiling above me, it's Saturday tho, and i have nothing to do and i'm still puzzled by what my parents plans. i really want to escape and live my life freely, i want to go somewhere far. i mean i'm living like a princess after all these years but no. i'm locked, inside this cage, they treat me as a props for their business.

There are times where i'm crying myself to sleep because we will leave korea, and live in Japan instead, i tried to beg my mom that i don't want to leave my bestfriends here, i want it here. at the middle of overthinking i received a call from my Mom, aish it's her again.

[Sweetie! are you awake now? can u go here at our company? we need you here"] what? after all that happened last night, she still gave the guts to call me ugh i hate this.

I end the call and i quickly ran to the bathroom to take a sweet morning bath.
after the bath i checked the time in my phone and it says 7:32AM "oh it's still early i still have time to eat breakfast" i picked my outfit for today before going out of my room to eat something, and after that i go out and called our driver to drive me there.

8:12AM

The drive is really 30mins from our house. i keep telling myself to relax as i'm playing my fav song. Starry Night this song is a ballad song, and i kinda like it, i always hope to be a singer so i can sing a ballads too it's good for you to relax.

I arrived at the company not too late but in exact time, as i take a step in i was greet by the staffs.

"Goodmorning, Ms. Jang nice to see you again here" oh yes she's the one my mother assign to take care of me when i'm here.

"Oh! you surprised me, Seoyeon! btw why are you here? i told Jiwon that i'm coming here for a hour only, you don't need to acompany me here i'm good" Gyul is shookt when seoyeon arc her eyebrows.

"Yeah? what is it? i'm not lying promise!" i face palm myself for saying that, almost forgot that i'm the daughter of the owner of this company and i'm making a scene here, they might think that i'm too close to my secretary and we've known the longest.

"Okay Ms.Jang i will lead your way then, i still have a reason to be here since Jiwon is absent" ah is that why she's here.

"Oh okay then" i answered and she lead the way to my mother's office. When we got there she knocked at the door 2 times. seems like mom is doing something.

"is she here?" i asked her, and she only nods and smile.

after a min of knocking, finally someone opened the door and she even let me in.

"O-oh, Mrs.Jang. Ms. Gyuri is here. i'll leave now" before seoyeon leave she bow at Mrs.Jang sign of respect.maybe haha.

After Seoyeon left i noticed that this small girl right here is still standing beside me who's sitting in the couch, i looked at her. she looked back but she avoid my gaze after. geez she's cute.

Not a seconds after my Mom spoke. "Oh i'm done now, Nagyung. you can leave us now" Mom handed her the files or should i say lot of papers, and her name is Nagyung? never heard of that before, seems like she's new here.

After she gets the paper she bowed and slip out of the office.

I let out a Sigh. "So who's that?" my mom looked at me seriously.
"Oh that? you must be thinking she's new here, well she is, Jiwon, is absent and i need assistant so i hired her right away"
i nod as i agree of what she said, and yeah Jiwon is absent today, i miss her loud voice.

"So since you're here now, we will be meeting the Roh's later, you will be meeting your future Wife." yes wife, she knows it, she already told herself that this will be alright even tho she's still against it.

After an hour of waiting it's already near lunch time and the meeting will start soon, her mom's secretary told them that they arrived already. and there's Gyuri thinking of what will happen.

"It will be okay, baby. Mom's here arraseo?" she can only nods of what her mom told her. she can't do anything. she's Nervous.
