Bones To The Rescue

The Favour

It was early morning in Steptember when Brennan had been in a deep sleep when her phonestarted to go off. She reached over to the night stand next to her bed to grab it and answered it, not even bothering to look at the screen to see who was calling her at this early in the morning. She just had this feeling that it was parnter and friend Booth.

"Brennan" she said with a yawn.

"Bones, your awake"

"Well I wasn't, but now I am" she said ennoyed that he had waken her.

"I'm sorry for phoning you this early when its your day off Bones, but i need a huge favour from you. You know i would never ask if I didn't really need it"

"What do you need from me Booth"

"Would you mind picking up Parker from Rebecca's please, she needs to go to work and i'm stuck at the office with aload of paper work and there's no way out"

"Sure i will do that for you Booth"

"Thanks your the best Bones, see you later" said Seeley before hanging up.

Temperance signed before finally getting up and making her way to the bathroom before going to get Parker. She didn't mind looking after Parker, he was a lovely kid. They even got on well with each other and that surpised Tempe because she didn't get on well with anyone apart from the people who knew her. Temperance made her way to Parkers about half an hour after Booth had phoned her. She made it there in about two hours. She pulled up to the curb infront of the house that Parkeer and he's mum Rebecca were living in and looked at it with loving eyes. She had always wondered if she would get a nice big house like this and everytthing else that she dreamt of all those years ago when she was a kid. She got out of the car and started to make her way up the path when the door swung wide open, hitting the frame with a boy whos name was Parker came running out towards her at full speed.

"BONES" he screamed

Parker hugged her as tight as he could andlike it always does it took Brennan a second to hug him back. He looked up at her with a huge smile on he's face.

"How are you Bones"

"I'm good Parker, hows you"

"I'm ok, just wish dad wasn't so busy for me"

Temperance smiled a sad smile and then they made their way up to were Rebecca was standing with Parkers bags.

"Hi Temperance, do you know whats keeping him at the office, He never misses a weekend with Parker at all"

"All he said to me  is that he's stuck at the office with aload of paperwork and can't get away, so thats why I'm picking up Parker today"

After ten mintues of catching up with Rebecca, Temperance and Parker left and made their way to her apartment. The car journey was quiet.

"So Parker what would you like to have for a snack" asked Tempe when they walked into her apartment.

"Um, I dont know what have you Bones"

Temperance and Parker sat on the couch after putting he's bags on the floor near the tv.

"I actually do not know what I have Parks"

Temperance got up and made her way into the kitchen to see what she had for Parker. She hardley had anything that a kid he's age would like. After looking through her whole kitchen she came back with two things.

"I have pop tarts or chips. Your choice"

"Um pop tarts please Bones"

Temperance hands over a box of pop tarts and sits down next to him. Parker thanks Tempe for the pop tarts.
