For him an independent, capable, strong, feisty and stable girl is a choice to live with but his mother was hellbent on tying him with whom he doesn't want to spare a glance even. He was trying every possible way to knock some sense into his mother but she blackmailed him in return saying if he would not listen she would do something that would cost her life. Neil was numb for a second hearing his mother's threat. He was so annoyed on his fate.

Neil: mom usse treatment ki zaroorat hai ye shadi ki nahi please try to understand

Shweta: I don't want to listen anything. Yahi mera aakhri faisla hai verna tu jaanta hai mai kya kar sakti hu.

He just went out without saying anything cursing the one because of whom he was in that situation. Avni avni mehta his neighbor. He hadn't been aware of her until 1 week ago she had came to his house and she got instantly attached with him. Neil at first was baffled by her behaviour. She was not normal, she was mentally unstable. When his mother told him about her accident due to that she had became like this for a moment he felt bad but her immature behaviour made him displeased with her.

She started calling him by cute names but he felt it woeful. He was all cool and calmed only because he doesn't wanted to create a scene in front of her mother. He also felt bad for her ( avni's mother ) coz she had to look after avni all alone and now his mother had planned it to impose the immature girl in his life. He had no choice rather than accepting it because of his mother.

Next day shweta his mother insisted him to accompany her to avni's house. She wanted to discuss about their marriage with avni's mother. Hearing about marriage his mind got numb thinking how would he manage with her all life long. Now thinking about her made him more pissed off and annoyed.

They entered inside the mehta house. As soon as avni saw neil at the doorstep she just ran excitedly and clinged to him. He felt something, some different kind of peace and happiness having her in his arms but the thought of their marriage blocked all the functions of his brain and he again started hating her. He pushed her away lightly and ignored her. Avni's eyes started tearing up receiving this reaction from him. Their mothers were too busy to notice all this.

Avni: neilu tumhe pata hai ab ham hamesha saath rahenge yayyy ham saath mai khelenge, chocolate khayenge, masti karenge yayyy

She jumped showing her excitement while neil was getting pissed by every passing moment. He excused himself and went outside to calm his irritation and blazing anger. Avni was sad but got distracted by her mother's conversation. In next 2 weeks their marriage took place. Avni was unaware of the fact her life had taken a turn, she was just seeing it as a game. Where as neil was sitting without any emotion.

After the ritual avni was way too tired after the hectic day. Shweta told neil to take her to their room. He did what his mother said and made her laid on the bed. Her face was glowing and lips formed in a perfect pout. He got lost for a moment then realised this was not he wanted.

Neil: because of you I am bound by this unwanted marriage. You were never my choice nor will be in future. I just wish you get well soon and go away from my life.

He laid down maintaining the distance between them after making himself changed. Avni was still in her bridal attire and it was disturbing her to the core. Neil Sighed and removed her all jewellery except the nuptial chain. He touched it and looking at her who had now peaceful smile after getting rid of the heavy necklace and other accessories. He laid down and avni placed her head on his chest in sleep. He stroked her hair for sometime and sleep took over him.
