Mackenna's POV
Three days later and I still didn't shift back into my human form for I didn't find a work nor did I find a place that I can call my own yet.
I have been sleeping in a caves for this territory is huge, not wanting to move from this spot. It's a cave I found near a waterfall and is rather refreshing and peaceful.
The woods is so phenomenal. I've never felt so save and at home before. It's like this place was my home. A familiar scent flooded into my nose and I started to panic. The scent of the house Shay and I went into a few months ago.
It's not the house I smelled but all the flowers and plants around it.
To know that this has been so close to the pack and that I could have brought danger here sent me into a frenzy. Maybe that's why I felt so at ease, I've been here all this time.
I got up and hid my stuff behind a rock before I shifted and followed the scent toward the abandoned house.
I walked for about five minutes before I saw the familiar view that I was comfortable with yet scared of. I walked closer and got a bit light headed.
I stoped leaning against a tree knowing its the shift and gained my balance. I stared at the back door with the feeling of an energy that was pulling me towards the house.
Now that I'm alone I can stay as long as I want to not having Shay pestering me about the weird vibe it gave her. Now thinking about her I miss her terribly and I can't wait to see her or Soph again.
I headed to the door wiggling the door knob but it didn't budge. I walked around the house looking through the windows trying see if someone was here. Not that there would be anyone but you'll never know if someone came to sleep here.
The house was beautiful now that I looked at it in another perspective. Mothernature took back what was once taken from her. Vines and other plants started growing against the walls and into the windows cracking the glass.
I came to the front door and stepped through the doorway now entering the house. I don't know why but I had the urge to see if anyone was home.
With the vibration of my voice in the house, a few bats came flying out almost hitting me on their way into the woods.
I stepped into the living room first but seeing this house fully furnished confused me. Why would someone just abandon their house? I noticed something hanging on the wall and walked closer to it trying to make out was it was.
It was pictures of a family. Not just any family but the Andersons.
The Anderson's? Why did they leave? I walked further into the house and saw some of the pictures frames on the ground with broken glass scattered all over the floor.I gathered the frames and pieces of glass and saw more pictures of the family.
Henry never actually mentioned having a sister. In the foto's standing next to Henry there was a little girl with a beautiful baby pink coloured dress and white shoes that had little pink flowers on them.
The girl looked really familiar and to say she kind of looked like me but when I was still a little girl. All these things made me believe that this girl could possibly have been me. Making my belief grow stronger to think I may be Henry's sister.
I was walking into the kitchen still holding the picture and I saw that the kitchen was full of window pieces and kitchen tools, laying everywhere. Even stains that looked like blood was shattered on the floor and on the walls.
I gasped and covered my mouth in horror. The smell was awfull. Tears started to gather in my eyes at the thought of what Henry and his family could have gone through.
This house has a story and to say that the story is touching is an understatement. I felt so much emotions at that moment and I didn't know what to do with them. I felt so overwhelmed.
I got dizzy and held out my hands in front of me catching onto the kitchen table. I closed my eyes as if that would have helped but it didn't . I stood there for a while gaining my balance and when I opened my eyes I saw a part of what happened playing out right in front of my eyes.
**flashback**
A loving family sat at the dinner table, sharing jokes and memories. Not having a clue in the world about the bad things that were about to happen.
A father looking down at his wife in a loving manner and a mother looking down at her two children in a loving manner.
They were so into this family moment that they didn't notice five rogues rushing into their home. Only noticed when it was to late.
Three of the rogues shifted into their human forms and held Mr Anderson's arms behind his back, leaving him defenseless.
The other rogues holding onto Mrs Anderson and Henry even when they struggled but didn't even flinch.
Then Blake entered.
The little girl just stood there watching this horrific event passing by. Helpless. Her parents and brother trying so hard to get free to protect their family member but sadly failed when Blake grabed the little girl and ran away into the darkness.
**flashback ended**
I stood there with my hands over my mouth. Letting the tears fall as I watched this event in agony.
How horrible. They seems like very nice people and this is how the Moongoddes repay them?
