Taehyung looked at the door for few seconds after Jungkook left. He then turned to Hoseok.

"Hoseok, get someone to follow him. Make sure he gets to his room safely and post few men there. He is not to leave his room at all. I can't worry about him with all the other things I have to do."

Hoseok gave a slight bow and left. Namjoon looked at his brother with concern.

"Tae, I don't think that's the way to-" Namjoon started to talk but Taehyung cut him off mid sentence.

"Don't! Just... don't hyung. I'll fix it later. But right now, I have more important stuff to do. Can I borrow Yoongi hyung for a while?" Taehyung asked with a tight voice and Namjoon gave a sigh.

"Sure. What are you going to do?" Namjoon asked again but Taehyung shook his head.

"Don't worry about it. I'll handle everything."

With that Taehyung and Yoongi left the room too.

They reached Taehyung office and closed the door.

"How close are we to the plan?" Taehyung asked in a tight voice.

"There's only few minor details to recheck. I would say we are good to go even today." Yoongi answered.

"Do it. And make sure no information about the attack on the palace is given out. Nothing happened here. You understand?"

"Yes."

"Thank you."

Yoongi gave a nod and left the room. Taehyung plopped on to his chair and closed his eyes. Jungkook's betrayed look, his eyes full of hurt and sadness was all Taehyung could see.

He couldn't believe how messed up everything is right now. While he did what he thought was the best, Taehyung could clearly see the errors in his way. Jungkook was right. He should have talked about this with him.

The younger hated it when Taehyung treated him like a baby or in his own words, damsel in distress. Jungkook has always been the tougher one in his relationships and it's only for the prince that he stepped down from that. The least Taehyung could do was to treat him like an equal.

But Taehyung's protective instincts just kicked in when he learned about the threat to Jungkook's life, that too because of him and Taehyung just totally lost his head.

Taehyung got out of room and walked to Jungkook's room. He saw two guards standing outside and realized that Hoseok must have stationed them there. Taehyung walked up to the door but couldn't gather the courage to open it.

If he opened it and went inside, he knows what Jungkook is going to request from him. And he can't give that freedom to younger, not yet anyway.

Tae stood outside the door for don't know how long and he only looked up when he saw a pair of shoes standing closer to him. Taehyung looked up to see Hoseok's concerned face.

"I have some news."

"What is it?"

"We found Kai's informer. It's the team leader that went for the caves with Jungkook."

Taehyung looked at him in surprise. He had not given any thought to that person, his mind was occupied with other stuffs on that day.

"Why?"
