Sparda's POV

I'm currently back at the royal castle watching Gazef train Climb in sword combat per my request, it's been two days since Momon left for Carne and it's a four day trip there and back again. As I watch this training session all I can think is

Climb: "*grunts in pain as I have my legs swiped from under me by Gazef's leg*"

( he's so inexperienced, not to mention I feel as if something's off about him. He can gain technique through constant drills but... I sense something's holding him back)

I look over to Gazef as he has his sword resting on his shoulder

Gazef: "always be aware of your opponents movement so you don't fall for any openings"

"Gazef mind sparring with me? I believe Climb will learn better if a master swordsman faces another master from a different kingdom"

Gazef laughs as he says with sincerity

Gazef: "compared to you my lord, I'm merely an expert learning from a master"

I put out my right hand as forced edge materializes in my hand and as I grip the handle I feel the blade shake it's been wanting to fight for a long time

"Don't worry Gazef I'll go easy on you just focus on doing your best"

As I finish my sentence Gazef rushes at me he raises his hand to do a downwards slash and as he's about to fully commit to the attack I go to block but he faints into a pommel strike that at the last second I dodged in time as I grabbed onto his wrist in an instant as I knee him in the gut as I toss him overhead and as he crashed into the wall I watch as Climb walks towards Gazef after he finishes standing back up he holds his stomach and says to him while I sheath my weapon on my hip hilt

Gazef: "and that's why you should always be aware of your opponents entire body during combat"

Climb: "yes I see that now, thank you sir. I should probably go, I shouldn't stray far from princess Renner *bows* good bye my lords"

Climb runs off as he bows at me before leaving as I notice Gazef walk towards me and stands besides me

"You should not encourage him"

Gazef looks over to me in shock as he says with a slight authority in his voice

Gazef: "do you doubt him?"

I shake my head and say in a tone showing worry and fear

"I do not doubt his heart, only the reach of his arm"

Gazef stands in front of me slightly insulted
