Chapter 3: home care

Macy's POV:

I woke up the next morning, very early, around 7 am, i just laid down and watched the roof, and drifted into my thoughts

I thought about when me and Clay had a sleep over at his house, like we have had multiple sleep overs, but the one when Clay recently got Nibble

Nibble was a little duck he got from his aunt who owned a farm, the ducks mother died of cancer a bit after he hatched, they had like this daycare for the duckies, but they had way to many, which is how Clay got him, he named him nibble since he kept nibbling on his finger

The duck would warm himself in his hair, and it was adorable, he would walk around like a duck while saying "Quack, Quack, Quack" And nibble would follow him while also saying that

Then i got woken up from my thoughts by someone opening the top shelf, Clay stood there with 2 chip bags in his hands, and some in his mouth, he looked me dead in the eyes then just backed back upstairs

I sat up and rubbed the tiered ness out of my eyes 'Right, he eats when he wakes up every morning if he's up first' i thought to myself, i sat up and headed upstairs to his room

I opened the door, he looked at me "You saw nothing!" He said as he pointed at me "hand me some and I didn't see anything" he handed me some and i sat next to him "Hey . . I don't remember walking up to bed yesterday" he said, I didn't have time to react before he laid down in my lap "Thank you for caring me to bed, and sorry for kinda waking you up"

I combed his hair and answered "No no, I couldn't fall asleep anyway, and you kinda helped me" my sentence got more and more quiet, he had almost fallen asleep again, i laid him down in his bed again "I'm . . Not . . Asleep . . Yet!" He said as he turned in his bed

He grabbed my arm as fast as i tried to leave "No! I don't wanna be alone, stay!" He said and hugged it, tightly! I chuckled a bit and laid next to him " you know . . You really change real fast" i said and pushed him closer "mhm, what about it?" He said and half opened his eyes

" i . . Don't know, but its cute" he chuckled a bit "so is this conversation" he said and he rapped his legs around me, he's face was so soft when I touched his face, its hard to believe that such a adorable creature could've been such destructive when he was the Gray knight?

Time skip

Later, around 9 am so did i feel how Clay left bed, he then returned with his phone, he laid next to me and poked me in the face "Hey! You there?" "Yeah yeah, I'm awake"

He opened his phone and typed something "hey, I thought, that if you dont have something to do, so would you maybe wanna help me and the others with some chores" he said to me "well, i guess we could, we need to repay you for the kindness you've shown us"

We didn't talk so much more, i walked down stairs to get dressed, the others we're still asleep, i took my clothing and walked into the bathroom to get dressed and to brush my teeth, that the game just randomly gave me, their really good at all posible situation solving

The other had woken up by the time i was done in the bathroom "Morning Mace" They all greeted me "So what are we doing today? Any one have any task?" Lance asked as he looked himself in the mirror "we're going to help them with cleaning and stuff" i answerd "What!? Why?" Lance asked "Well they gave us the permission to sleep here over night, we should at least do something in return"

I answered and crossed my arms "UUUUGH! I'm not made for this! I have servants who clean for me, and walking here i the rain ruined my hair yesterday" Lance said as he fixed his hair "Listen now, we got the biggest opportunity to get back Clay and Rui-I mean, Wanda's, Memory. And if we stay here longer and build a stronger bond so can we maybe hurry up the process" i explained
