(A/N I went to school today dressed as Lucifer...I have fluffy red horns too and a staff with a skull on it)
It's normal for someone to go unnoticed in life or at work... You should know — since you don't remember the people you pass in the street, do you? It's like they were never there and half the time you might even think they weren't. But a woman - the name of Y/N L/N had gone unnoticed in her workplace for a world record of 4 years. She was liked by many but easily forgotten at any given chance ... But this is the day someone took notice of her and how things soon spiralled into something quite beautiful.

It was 10:30 in Los Angeles, the year 2016 that Detective Decker had been given her case and Y/N was called to the scene as an extra set of eyes —she was a detective from a police department back in her home, in England — she'd transferred a good 4 years ago; but her colleagues had a hard time putting name to face, or face to name.
Detective Decker had finished explaining what she thinks happened when Y/N tapped her on the shoulder and pointed to a notepad on the table with some last minute notes and coordinates scribbled down on them. Decker thanked her and went over to them to read them aloud, proceeding to ask Miss Lopez what she could get from them.
The Detective then turned back to see Y/N but found her nowhere in sight, which puzzled her all the more. "Hey, Dan, did you see that girl?... Who was she?" Decker asked. Dan plodded over and did his usual head roll and sigh, then shook his head, uselessly. "Hm." Was all the Detective could say. Decker went back to tackling the case.
Y/N trailed off into the cellar, trying to look for clues when she saw red, glowing orbs - presuming they were some emergency lights for a gas meter or something, she shrugged them off and shone her torch down there to get a better view.
And a view she got.
Lucifer was lurking about down there... So of course all she could think of doing was asking why he was lurking down there, but he got to the question first.
"What the hell are you doing, traipsing down here in the dark, alone?!" He snapped, quite frankly sounding angry that she'd 'disturbed' him from whatever twisted deeds he was doing down there. In the dark. Alone. She didn't even want to think more on it but she did and couldn't get the thoughts to stop rushing through her head... They were most disturbing, Indeed.
"I was looking for clues! What the hell are you doing, lurking down here in the dark, alone!?" She countered, with the same incredulous tone.
"Well it makes more sense for me to!--" Lucifer said, not elaborating.
"Why?!" She asked, interjecting.
"Well I was getting to that part! If you'd only let me finish!" He answered, more snappily than usual.
"Okay! Okay! Keep your chest hair on!" Y/n flappily retorted.
"Chest hair?... Oh this is heading somewhere fun, after all~" Lucifer had that same devious smirk, cat like crossed with a snake.
