Lou picked up her rusty black bicycle and grabbed it with the right hand to shove it to her next appointment. The fronttire was broken and super flat and wobbly. What a terrible day. Rain was pouring down on her hair which looked now even more greasy. It's the problem with silky thin hair, you wash it and thirty seconds later it looks like you haven't washed it in five days. She took a brief look at her watch and cursed loudly. The next dog was waiting for a walk and she had to be there to pick him up in about 20 minutes. Which wouldn't have been a problem if she would be just able to take her bike. She could not do anything but hoping that the owner would be understanding and not in a rush.

She took a deep breath tand pushed the button of the doorbell. Right, as usuall a white expensive house near the city center. If she had a own dog she would never let anyone foreign walk him. But of course the rich and famous. Why did she even complain she was making money with this job! A petite brown haired woman opened the door. She had a unaprochable look on her face until she smiled when she saw her. "You must be the dog walker." Her voice was high but gentle with a french accent. "Yes, I am Louise, nice to meet you." The women shook hands. Lou tried to peak behind her into the hallway. Pretty reddish blue patterned tiles, a black banister. A small dog waddled up behind her. "This is Sid. He is pretty low-maintenance so if you feel comfortable you can let him run off leash but take care if there are any fast moving animals. He is a poodle terrier mix so he can be reactive some times." Lou took a closer look at the little dog, his white fur was curly and he had a cute dorky looking face. The two woman talked a while about the details of the dog, walk and how she wanted to get paid and so Lou took the leash und left the property with him. Her bike  leaned on a stone wall which surrounded the small front yard.

Sid was a pleasant dog. Of course would they both need some more time to warm completely up with each other but he walked on the leash pretty nicely and listened to her when she told him a command. It was not very often that the dogs behaved so good and Lou hat very strong arms from the dogs that tried to pull her trough the city. She tried always to train them a little durign their walk because she thought it was horrible if the dog wasn't able to walk properly on a leash. For the dog and the walker. A positive factor from the training was also that the dogs quickly began to love her for giving them clear rules and attention. City dogs are very often not the happiest. She saw it so often that people used them just as a accessoir and didn't care about their dog's necesseties. Lou played with Sid some tug o' war in a park, she got an extra long leash with her because she did not trust him after only knowing him since 20 minutes. He was a fun quirky pal. Every walk took around 45 minutes and she got 15 Pounds per walk. Actually not too bad but it was a very time consuming job. She didn't know how she made it trough the first semester with that little time to study. Sid had dirty paws when the both came back to his home but he panted and seemed way more relaxed than bevor the walk. The petite Lady who hadn't even introduced herself welcomed her dog back and gave Lou the money. "My husband saw your broken bike and fixed it for you. He says you should probably bring it to a proper repair and assembling shop but it should be enough for the way home." Lou was very surprised she had never experienced such a nice gesture from a client and even less from one of the rich ones. "Wow, that is really kind! Please tell him that I am very thankfull, can I give you any money for that?" The woman smiled mildly and shook her head. "Of course not. Thank you for taking Sid on a walk, he looks pretty satisfyed. I'm gonna text you for the next time!"

Lou was really happy on her ride back home. She couln't believe that a stranger just had fixed he bike for free. She probanly would't take it to a repair shop because she was broke as shit. Instead she would ride until it broke down and the she would get a new cheap one from a charity shop. London was so incredible expensive she saved money wherever she could. She slowley unlocked the garage and pushed the bicycle into it then she dragged herself up all the way into the sixth floor where here flat was. Her feet were heavy just like her eyelids. Her bag landed in a corner of the kitchen and she made herself a tea. The day had been long. Uni from nine to four and then three walks and the way home.
