" How was the audition " her father Asked .
I didn't get it " she mumbled walking up to her bedroom .
" oh honey , that's too bad . Them privledge mother fuckers don't know what they just passed up on " he spoke angrily .
Finally looking up from taking a sip from the coffee he double backed at her appearance ." what the hell is this mess of an outfit you chose Lyric" he asked her
" Dad it's coffee, some guy spilled coffee on me while I was on the train " she told him
" before or after the audition " he gritted .
" after " she lied .
Go change " he demanded.
Obeying her father she went to go change her clothes , walking back down getting ready to make herself something to eat she was starving .
" so what's next " her father asked .
" nothing , I don't know , dad can I breathe all of this in first " .
" no , you need to take your ass back to college , and become a doctor "he told her
" I ain't tryna be no doctor " she mumble .
" Ain't ? Ain't a fucking word , and then I suggest you get your shit and move with your funky ass auntie out in the Bronx , if you think you gonna walk around this house with nothing going for yourself —
" maybe I will " she smiled sarcastically.
" pack your shit up , you'll be gone in the morning I already made the call when you were changing your nasty shirt " he told her .
" WHAT , dad are you fucking serious .
" watch your goddam tone with me " he told her .
" why do you hate me so much ? " she cried running her fingers through her messy hair .
Not responding her father threw the coffee cup into the sink making it shatter causing lyric to flinch a little .
Lyric spent the rest of the night balling her eyes out , while packing her belongings being as tho she knew her father was serious.
