This concept appeared in my head randomly.
The idea is basically this.
A 'Medium', someone with the ability to sense, see, hear, and interact with the paranormal, living in a house that was essentially just filled to the brim with spirits and other such beings.
Some of the entities were already there when he moved in, and may have even played a large roll in his choice to buy the house.
After moving in, he needs to go shopping for furniture, as it's a massive house that cost him much less than it really should have(suspicious).
He decides to go to a local place with second hand furniture, in hopes refurbishing it himself. To his surprise, there were a number of items in the store that were haunted by spirits.
Like a mirror, a table, maybe a spoon for some reason.
Naturally, he took them home.
He makes friends with all of the different kinds of entities in his home, all of whom have their own special personalities.
As time goes on, more things happen in his life, and problems start to add up.
How does he deal with the rising conflict?

+ VERY gay, lives in frickin Narnia
+ Comes from a very conservative family, very racist and homophobic
+ Absolutely loves and looks up to his older brother
+ His brother followed the mentally their family ingrained in them since they were children, but breaks away from it when he finds out his brother is gay, he is more important to him than his parents approval
+ Ends up being mentored by a very sassy, protective young witch to better understand his abilities, learns a little magic and stuff
Abilities-
- Spirit Sensitive/Medium: he can interact with spirits as if they were living, breathing beings. However, it mostly depends on if the entity wishes to be seen or heard. He can sense their presence whether they wish it or not. Only very powerful entities can completely mask their presence
- Precognition: due to his in-depth connection to the paranormal, he is sometimes able to catch a glimpse of the future (remember, the future can always be changed by people's actions, be that his or somebody else's)
- Post-cognition: he can also catch glimpses of the past, be that of a place or a person. These visions tend to be clearer and easier to manifest at will, depending on the place or person
Note: He can also see visions of things happening elsewhere at that exact moment, though they are typically either things happening to people he has a deeper connection with, things that will somehow majorly impact him, or major events, such as a major catastrophe. I don't really know what to call this ability so feel free to leave ideas.
Weaknesses:
- Spirit Sensitive/Medium: it's both a blessing and a curse, as it is much easier for malicious entities to harm him, if they should choose
