Hi, I'm Jason, and I'm cursed. Let me take a step back. Before my own parents disowned me to the wild, I was bullied. I was, well... "gifted." I had the gift of pissing everyone off, especially other kids. See, I don't play well with others. I'm a freak of nature. Oh yeah, I forgot. Fire. For some reason, I can summon fire. It comes in handy when someone confronts me. Later, when they were in the bathroom, I'd weld the door shut. They never knew who it was.

Anyways, how I got kicked out. One day in math, some jerk (with the least amount of aptitude, I might add) shoved me to the ground, and all my books fell to the ground. I replied by mumbling, "Such advanced tactics for such a brutish neanderthal."

"What did you just say, buttmunch?"

When I didn't reply, he yelled "I SAID WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SAY?"

He punched me in the jaw. Pain shot through it like a jet through the sky. He punched me again in the stomach. I knew he would tear my limbs off. After the war, we coudn't back down, or you were banished. I got up. I said in as calm a voice as I could, "I said that you're a soft-minded unevolved caveman."

Now it was my turn. After all, fighting was encouraged. I punched him in the gut, but he cut me off after that. He pounced like a rhino charging a squirrel that's glued to the ground. It was hopeless. There was only one thing I could do.

I stuck out my hands. It wasn't hard to summon the flames, I was already so mad. Hands blazing, I pushed outwards, sending a vortex of flames at him. No matter how tough you are, fire hurts. He crumpled to the ground, shaking uncontrollably. His clothes were burned off. He was in the fetal position.

So I ran home. When I got home, I told my parents what happened. It went a little bit like this:

"Mom, I'm scared."

"Why are you scared, Jason?"

"I burned a guy with my hands."

And that's how it began. they took me to the gate door, pushed me out, and locked it. I was alone, afraid, and most likely dead.
