"I was there when my parents died. My cousin, Adam and I. We saw them. Those so called politicians." Jordan whispers.
"I'm sorry, what?" Brad adjusts his glasses.
"They connived against him. Desmond Olaniyi, that bastard! He killed my parents! Got us admitted at that God forsaken orphanage! We were kids! No one listened to us! And since the day we got admitted there, I vowed my revenge!"
"Revenge?"
"I was in school, checking my previous semester results when I saw hers"

Jordan looked at the notice board as he searched for his matriculation number when he came to a halt on a particular result. He squinted as he read through it.
"Seven As and a B? Fuck!"
He immediately pulled out a notepad and a pen and copied out her matriculation number

"How did you know she was the one?" Brad asks as he writes some notes in his journal.
"She got called out in class"

Jordan sat down in class and stared at her like he knew her.
"What's your name?" The lecturer asked
"Rachel Olaniyi" she replied before the lecturer started raining praises on her.

"Do you think I'm smart?" Jordan asks with a smirk
"As a matter of fact, I know you're smart"
"I took my time, did my investigations, and I found out she worked at a coffee shop in school. So, I went there everyday for coffee... with my brother. He had just transferred to my school."
"Raymond, Adam or David?"
"Finally, someone who didn't see the news" Jordan chuckles
"I saw the news" Brad replies with a straight face
"So why ask what you already know?"
"I just want to be sure you know what you're saying"
"I'm not insane."
"You shouldn't say that in public. Raymond, Adam or David?"
"Adam! Obviously! Adam! God!" Jordan yells
They're quiet for a while before Jordan breaks the silence
"We always sat at a corner as I kept observing her. She was naive and not as tough as I thought. I knew her a lot already. So, I made my move"
"You killed her?"
"Yes, I did. In front of the twenty plus more people there" he rolls his eyes.
"So you didn't kill her?"
"I went back to the coffee shop. Alone. Without Adam. And I sat just where she could see me."

Rachel stared at Jordan as he sipped his coffee and watched his laptop screen. She contemplated walking up to him but didn't know how to say hi. She was certain she had met him before. She eventually gathered guts and approached him
"Hi" she said, standing over his table. He slowly covered his laptop and looked up at her.
"Hello, what's up?"
