there is quite a long process to recording and selecting an album! here you will learn about each step!STEP ONE. CHOOSING AN ALBUM CONCEPT AND SELECTING SONGS.
The very first and most important step is choosing a concept for comeback. So that you can choose the songs according to the concept. Larger companies or companies with Senior groups will often have songs saved up for other groups. Smaller or Newer companies will usually have to ask around or post a notice in order to recieve songs. Sometimes the groups might recieve a song that needs an arrangement (Ex: if it's a 10 member group they might be asked to adjust the melody to fit the number of members, or changing a girl group melody to a boygroup melody or vice versa).STEP TWO. RECORDING THE ALBUM.
After the songs have been selected and arranged to a proper melody, it's time for line distribution. The producers will come to the recording and work with the groups and engineers to find the best recordings to put together and complete the song. Usually each member will sing the whole song and decide which member will get each part. This decision is made together by the producers, staff, and sometimes even the members themselves. Then they record and go through to add mixing and mastering for it to be officially complete.STEP THREE. DISTRIBUTION CONTRACTS.
The next step is for the companies to make contracts with a song distributer like Melon or Genie to help release the music. The distributer also helps with release dates so that they don't overlap with other artists.STEP FOUR. CHOREOGRAPHY.
The companies send their songs out to different choreography teams and have them make choreographies for the song, then they choose with Choreo they like best and choose it- sometimes they may mix up different ones. After it is chosen, it is taken back to the company and adjusted by company staff so that it is easy to sing while dancing to the Choreo.STEP FIVE. OUTFIT PRODUCTION.
Next step is Outfit Production! The stylists normally sketch 4-5 different outfit designs according to the concept. Stages normally reuse outfits but in different colors, so it's normal not to have too many variations. Nowadays, most stage outfits are custom made.STEP 6. MV PRODUCTION.
The companies work with MV directors to plan out music video. They give the concept to the team and the team plans out how the M/V will look.STEP 7. PHYSICAL ALBUM PRODUCTION.
There is no need if it's a digital album but if not, it will take time to make photobooks, photocards, and the album itself.STEP 8. ADVERTISE TO PROGRAMS.
One of the most important steps. They make a PR Version of the album and sent it to producers of variety shows, radio shows, and music shows so it can be decided if they're fit for the show.STEP 9: SONG RELEASE AND SHOWCASE.
Finally you prepare for the showcase and release the completed song. It's hard to reserve a location no matter how popular you are due to the influs of reservations. Most release the songs after the showcase.ahh sorry for being inactive! i hope this really helps you though!
