Even though Lexie had no interest in going into any of the buildings, Emersyn finally guilt-tripped her into going. Despite being warned by Ren that Emersyn wasn't the best friend she used to be Lexie had a hard time saying no. The thing was that Lexie somehow felt compelled to go into the building. She wondered why this specific building. It was the one where everyone kept their props and costumes for the shows. Needless to say, even the slight curiosity she'd always had about these buildings wouldn't make her go in an abandoned building, especially without proper supervision and equipment... but the building looked pretty sturdy.

Emersyn had convinced everyone to come inside, so they were all in the main room. It was still pretty intact, although it was evident that it'd been left in a hurry. Whoever was working there at the time was obviously pissed at whatever was transpiring too. They'd carved out curses on the walls and into the table. The bathroom had been vandalized.

Emersyn was enthralled by all the costumes; Ren was busy studying all the back rooms. Kyla was looking at all the plaques on the wall. For a time, Dreamland had one of the best theme park shows in the Midwest. Of course, there weren't an over abundance of theme parks in the area, but the fact that it was recognized was something.

Maddox and Brent were looking through some of the graffiti and talking about gangs.

When Emersyn heard that, she groaned. "No gang did this, dipshits... it was the employees. They were angry, and they destroyed the place. I mean they must have used up all the remaining toilet paper in the bathroom to T.P. it. That isn't the sign of satisfied people. Isn't that right, Lex?" she turned to face Lexie.

"That's the impression I'm under. I don't know for sure, but it sounds plausible..."

Emersyn gave her a look as if she'd expected a little more from her but didn't really care enough to say anything more. The look was all she needed. All of a sudden, Lexie felt a cold shiver down her spine. It wasn't just because of her friend's icy look. She wasn't sure why she felt so uneasy, but it became more obvious when she looked up and saw a full-bodied apparition.

Lexie knew how rare it was to see one of those.

She wasn't sure how she knew that, but she did.

The spirit in front of her was dressed in jean shorts and what looked to be a pink tank top with little rosettes on it. She wore a crossbody purse, very much looked like a person visiting an amusement park.

This spirit wasn't very old- must have died at around thirteen. She had fiery red curls, even in the dim light of the room. Lexie was scared, but something about this spirit felt helpful or perhaps the feeling Lexie felt was that the spirit of the girl was longing for something or someone.

She croaked out, "Hello..." hating how unsure of herself she sounded.

A part of Lexie wondered if anyone else in the room could see the spirt. But she couldn't look away from the girl.

The spirit said, "Why have you come?"

It seemed to take a fair amount of effort on the girl's part.

While until this moment, Lexie had never believed in ghosts, she had no choice but to believe in them now. Here was a ghost. It was standing right in front of her.

Nervous, Lexie took a breath, and answered honestly, "Some friends and I are doing some urban exploration. It wasn't my idea, but it's interesting."

The spirit tilted her head. "But, if that's the case, then that means that this place is abandoned..."

So she wasn't aware? That's weird. But, it's clever of her to know that people usually urban explore abandoned places... So, she's not stupid...
