"Let me get this straight, so this woman, that is sitting outside in our living room was your bestfriend when you were younger?" i interrogated mom after she pulled me to the kitchen to explain.

"Yes, how many times do i have to tell you that?!" mom snapped, frustrated by me.

"Okay, okay, i get that she was your bestie, but why did she appear in your life after all these years, and why did she leave her little girl in our house?!" i inquired, seriously curious.

"Well, i met her two days ago at Sam's place," Sam was our friend here, he was the one who found mom and i on the streets, and gave us a house. He knew our story and took alot of care of us, he also offered us to work in his two shops. One a little book store, where i work at, and the other is a coffee shop where mom works.

"We both were shocked to see eachother there, so i offered her a cup of coffee to talk and rekindle our relationship. She told me all about what happened to her all these years, she had a perfect family, a perfect husband, and a perfect home with their kids, untill one day her entire life shattered, the goverment where her husband worked, wrongly accused him of stealing a top secret file and a big amount of wands. She and her husband fought to prove his innocence, but all of their hardwork went downhill and the goverment killed him. After his death, she sold their house, and started working different jobs to maintain the family, she moved alot untill she found the cabin next to us."

"She's living there?!" i exclaimed.

"Yeah, also i ...told her...abo...ut "him"." She told me slowly.

"What! are you out of your mind mom, you know we should be undercover, you said it yourself!" i yelled at her.

"But pumpkin, she's a friend and i trust her, we both decided we would stand by eachother. Now comeone, let me introduce you to her and her family properly." She annouced, pulling me by the hand to the living room where the woman that's called anastia with her two kids sitting.

"I'm deeply sorry, for what happened earlier, my daughter is so extra trobolous and coutious, its actually partly my fault i didn't inform her about your arrival beforehand." Mom apologized as soon as we stepped in the room, referring to when I was choking the kid.

"No, no, its okay, jenny is the one at fault here, she shouldn't have messed around when Julia came." Anastia assured pointing at her daughter that had her head down.

"Jenny apologize to Julia. " Anastia ordered.

"I'm sorry Julia." Jenny apologized with a pout that looked so freaking cute.

"I'm sorry too, i shouldn't have tried to hurt you." The words just came out of my mouth because I couldn't stay mad at a 8 years old girl.

"Now that everything is settled, i should introduce my self properly, Julia im Anastia, I guess your mom already told you that we were childhood friends, and that from now on, I would be living in the cabin next door," Anastia smiled at me before she continued.

"And those there are my two kids, jenny," she said pointing at jenny who had the sweetest smile plastered on her face as she shook my hand.

"And Adam." She continued and looked at Adam who was already near me taking my hand and placing a soft peck on it.

I blinked at him, shocked, and immediately snapped my hand away from him. I am a girl that treasures her personal space alot, and he here is invading it.

He smirked at my reaction.

"Nice to meet you neighbor." He smiled so mischievously with eyes glinting with playfulness.

I don't think he meant it well ..
All i know is that i should stay away from him..
Even if he was my neighbor..
