My best friend has epilepsy

" I can't believe my friend Jamison has epilepsy . I have never heard of it before.
So I went on the computer and type in epilepsy .
Epilepsy - a nervous system disorder that can cause people to become unconscious and have uncontrollable movements of the body .
When I read the definition I looked up a foundation I found in an ad on the side of the computer called the epilepsy pralid foundation .
It said that it can help people with epilepsy get scholarships to college .
It also supports epilepsy awareness and they have epileptic events to support people with epilepsy .
I have to show Jamison this .
After school I took Jamison's hand and pulled her into me .
" Hey Jamison .
" Hey Shane .
" Whats up ?
" I need to show you something I found on the internet .
" Cool what you find ?!
" I found this foundation called epilepsy pralid . Turns out they can help you get into college and there are events that you can participate in to help people with your type of disability !
" Cool .
" There is an epilepsy walk next weekend . I was wondering if you wanted to go with me ?
" Yea I think it will be fun !
" Awesome I said as I picked her up and swung her around .

Jamison POV :
" It's saturday I woke up all excited .
It was the day of the epilepsy walk .
I was so glad that shane was going to be there supporting me along the way .
Also that site found actually has been helping me with school and thinking about my career .
I always wanted to be a nurse to help people just like my mom !
Applying for that scholarship will give me a great start .
Then I heard the car beep .
It was Shane in his car .
He rolled open the window . " Hey you ready ?
" Yea I said as I walked out the door and hopped into his car .
Then we drove for three hours to Basil Marella park .
He ran over to my car door and opened it for me . He is such a gentle man . I wish we were more than friends but I don't know if he likes me too .
Then we headed to the meeting place where there were more than three thousand people wearing purple shirts for this walk .
It felt so good to know I was not the only one with this disability .
Then we started walking in the woods . The breeze felt so good in my hair and the trees smelled like peppermint .
With Shane's hand in mine I felt like he truly did accept me for who I was .
I felt like I was the only girl in the world .

Shane POV :
" The walk was so fun !
Especially with the most beautiful girl in the world . This walk made me proud for who she was . When her hand was in mine I had a feeling she felt that way too .
I really like her but I don't know how to tell her .
I am not really good with words.
Especially when I speak about how I feel .
I stutter and look down at my feet .
I do not have a lot of confidence in myself because Jamison does not know that I have dislexyia .
It when words fly off the the page and I have a hard time reading especially in public .
How can I land a perfectly smart girl like Jamison ?
