🌺Dinner gone wrong🌺

"Boss, they're here." Said Do young to Mr Park. "Alright. Tell them to come over to the dinning room." Mr Park said while adjusting his necktie.

Rosé's pov
As Alice and I walk into the dinning room, I can't help but feel nervous. It's very rare for Papa to call us for business dinners. I just hope I don't screw up since the guests might be important people.

"Yah, are you nervous?" Alice asked making me flinch since I kinda zoned out.
"Yeah, a little bit. This dinner must be really important to Papa and I really don't want to screw it up." I said while looking down.

"Hey, you'll be alright. Besides, you're Park freaking Chaeyoung! You are literally the definition of perfection." She said while winking at me.
"Thanks Unnie, I really appreciate it."

Honestly, I don't know what I would do without Alice, we tell each other literally EVERYTHING. And that helped us to really rely on each other. We see each other as soulmates rather than sisters.
The door to the dinning room opened and we saw Papa talking with the guests.
"Good evening Father, sorry we're late." Alice said to get them to notice us. They all turned towards our direction, and......wait....WHAT?! The people papa said that we were having dinner with was the freaking PARK FAMILY?! Wow, did I choose the wrong day to wear a short gown or what?

I've read articles about them and honestly, I'm low-key terrified of them. They seem like such an intimidating family and I know that our family is rich, but the Parks? They're RICH rich. (If that makes any sense).

"Oh it's alright dear. We were the ones that came early in the first place." Mrs Park said to us. She had a wonderful smile on her face and it felt so welcoming.
Alice and I sat down next to Papa and the parks were at the opposite direction of the table. I was sitting in front of their son, he had this very intimidating stare and I couldn't help but shift uncomfortably in my seat.

"Jimin, why are you looking at her like you want to eat her?" Mr Park said chuckling.
"Did I make you uncomfortable? Sorry." Jimin told me but with a cold gaze.

"Wow, rude much?" I thought.

Author's pov
From there, dinner went on smoothly with the parents talking and including the children in the conversation from time to time. It was almost like a normal family dinner........well, until the stewards served the dessert.

"Alright, Minho, I think it's time to tell them the good news." Mr Park (Jimin's dad) said. Rosé and Alice looked at their father expectantly.

"Alice, you sister is getting married to the Parks wonderful son here, Jimin."

Earth shattering silence, as Rosé looked at her Father with so much confusion......"what?" Rosé said. "Rosé darling, we are doing this for you and Jimin's future. Both of you are perfect candidates for marriage and we as your parents, we aren't getting any younger. We need to see our grandchildren soon. Your father and my husband have been thinking about it for a while and I think this is a good idea. Please try and understand dear." Mrs Park said while looking at Rosé.

"But.... what about Jimin? Doesn't he have a girlfriend or something?" Rosé said looking at Jimin with pleading eyes. But he just kept looking at her with an unfazed emotion.
"Yah! Say something!" Rosé said, slamming her hands on the dinning table.

"Roséanne Park! We don't treat guests with such disrespect in this house young lady!" Her father said, slightly raising his voice at her.

Never had father raised his voice at her, not even once. She tried to look at Alice for help, but her Unnie was just as shocked as she was. She felt betrayed.

"So I guess I have no say in my own life huh." She said while looking at the ground with tear brimmed eyes.

With a chocked sob, Rosé stormed out of the dinning room and left the house.
