~~Annie
My music was on full blast in my house as I unpacked a couple of boxes in the kitchen and put my potted plant up by the window. Literally the only thing other then some clothes and my books that I threw in the car. The less I brought was less I had to un-pack when I got here.
My phone buzzes on the kitchen counter and I smile as Will's nickname "Sweet Cheeks" lights up the screen. As for me being the creepy stalker that I am I definitely took a picture of him while he was at the diner talking to another customer at the diner.
"Hello?" I asked him.
"Hey there darlin'. How are you this morning?" He asked. His voice was gravelly either meaning he was just waking up or his voice always sounded this sexy.
I really hope it always sounds this sexy.
"Better now that I unpacked my one box that I brought with me. How are you?" We both laughed.
"Better now that I'm talking to you." He smooth talked and I laughed loudly. "I didn't know what time you wanted to meet up but I was thinking we could grab breakfast and head out for the grand tour then shopping after lunch." He rambled quietly.
"Of course. I'm starving." I said excitedly. "Gimme like 20 minutes and I can meet you at the coffee shop." I added.
"I'm next door in my office. I can be there in just a minute. What do you want?" He asked.
I rattled off my coffee, a breakfast sandwich, and a pastry. Our goodbyes were short as I ran in my room and threw on a pair of Jean's and a dark blue tank top and my favorite multicolored checkered Van's slip ons.
My hair was up in a messy bun with a few tendrils of hair framing my face. At least my hair was cooperating today. I brushed on some simple makeup and brushed my teeth.
I grabbed my keys and was out the door in the matter of 15 minutes. Enough time to walk down the street to get to the cafe.
I stood outside the bakery as I looked next door which I assumed was the office that Will came from. It was a smaller building but the sign outside read "Prachett and Son". A burly man excited the building as I was noisily staring.
"Good morning." I said smiling trying to be nice.
"Hmph. New girl? Hmmm." He said. Looked me up and down and then walked off. I shrugged my shoulders not even affected by his grumpiness. A lot of those people that were down in Dallas acted like they were too good for anyone too. Southern charm isn't always what its cracked up to be.
I walked into the cafe looking around for Will.
"Good morning darlin'." His gravelly voice came up behind me. It gave me goosebumps.
"Morning sweet cheeks." I smiled up at him.
We ate breakfast while making small talk and talking about the town.
The grand ol' tour took a whopping 20 minutes walking. I laughed as he finished up saying the rest of the town was farm land, houses, and a small park for the kids in town to play.
Until lunch we just walked around town talking about ourselves. Where we were born, why I'm here (gave him the short version), and his family here.
He didn't delve into his family much. He's an only child, dad still in town, he works for his dad, and works as a waiter to impress the new girl in town.
I laughed at that last part.
Everyone in town was very nice. I think I met everyone that knew someone. Everyone knew Will though and he was so sweet to all of them.
