This is a story about myself, Camryn Chase. I am 18 years old and live in Newcrest Heights with my family. I go to college to have a major in communications and Biotech. I also work at a new strip club called Dynasty that opened up 6 months ago. My parents, Robin and Brendon did not understand why I would have that kind of job. I didn't want that kind of job either but I need cash. Plus I get tips on a daily basis and my money is starting to get right. My parents did their best and worked hard all of their life. We didn't have lots of money, but they did make sure we had what was needed. I didn't want to have to take student loans and pay all the extra interest rates. I didn't want to be in debt. My parents have always told me how they struggle. I wanted to pay as you go. My parents are very old-fashioned. They have strong beliefs and certain things they just won't approve of. My father barely talks to me, every time he looks my way we argue back and forth, and he starts crying. I know this is breaking them and I don't mean to be a disappointment to them. But I need to do this my way. I have been working at the strip club called Dynasty for 3 months now and the girls tried to have me do all sorts of drugs and drink all the time. I tried it, it was peer pressure, and just gave in. It was fun for a week, but I didn't want to lose my way. I wanted to keep my head leveled and not destroy my life. One night I came to work early because I had class at 9 in the morning. It was in June on a Sunday that I remembered when I met this guy named Stone, 27, a surgical resident. I noticed him as I walked out of the dressing room to go on stage to dance. After I performed I came down from the stage and went in the back to freshen up. I came back to the floor and started walking around. Stone came over and asked me if I can give him a 20-min lap dance. Sure no problem I replied. I took his hand and walked over to the private V.I.P area to give him a dance. As I was giving him a lap dance he just started talking to me and kept giving me this intense look like he liked what he saw. It felt good actually, the look he gave me was more of a memorized look. He looked at me in a way where I didn't feel ashamed about doing what I did. Can I ask you a personal question? Sure. Why are you doing this? I mean really. You seem as if you have a good head on your shoulders. Thanks and I do, I am doing this to pay for my tuition in college, I replied. To be there for my parents and give them the life they deserved. They did everything for me, I like to give that back to them. So they didn't have to struggle anymore. Wow, not a lot of people think like that. You're amazing for wanting to do that. After the dance was over Stone asked if he could buy me a drink. Um, sure. We walked to the bar and ordered our drinks and continued to talk. My name is Stone Travis by the way. Camryn. Nice to meet you we both replied. Stone has golden long wavy hair that is about shoulder-length. His eyes are blue, not like blue but more of an ocean blue. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He was dreamy. I had to keep my cool though. I didn't want to fall for a trap or anyone at this time.
About six weeks had passed, and Stone kept coming into where I worked. We would talk, laugh, drink, and of course give him lap dances. I barely knew him, but there was something about him that I am scared to want. I have never been in love. I don't even know what love is. Yes, my father has shown me what a man is supposed to do and how a man is supposed to treat a woman. But I'm 18 and scared to find out. I don't want my heartbroken, even though it will be plenty of times. I didn't want to rush into anything either. I just want to focus on my life and school so I graduate early and get a career I love. I want to be able to make and save enough money to help my parents out. I saw them struggle time in and time out. I want to be able to pay off their mortgage, pay their bills, and buy them a new car. I want to show them that I made it. And I did it on my own, that I didn't need anyone to help me. That they raised an amazing smart beautiful young woman. That night Stone told me that both his parents died in a tragic accident when he was 18. That he lived in a very wealthy environment. But he always wanted to make a name for himself instead of letting his parents give him everything. He wanted to earn his way. I was shocked. We had a really deep conversation that night. I told him things that I never told anyone before. I mean not even to my best friend Mariah. I am surprised I am telling you these things I said. I am not an open book. You're really easy to talk to. Why is that? I asked Stone. I am not sure, I feel the same way about you though Stone replied. Hey Cam? Yes. May I have your phone number, so we can continue to talk? Why? What do you mean why? I like you, isn't that enough. I don't think that's a good idea Stone. I want to keep my private life private and my business life business. We can't mix the two. What if I stopped coming in then? OMG really. Why do you really want my number? I would love to get to know you more and take you on dates. I'm 18 and you're 27. That's a huge gap for me and for you. Age is nothing but a number Cam. True but wouldn't it feel weird. No, why, should it? We are already been talking and having fun. Don't you think it's time to start talking on the phone? It's just a phone call here and there. Okay fine, I replied. Every morning Stone has been sending me cute Good morning texts, and we would chat a few times a week. I tried to keep the conversations short.
