Once I saw the park, I turned into the small parking lot next to it. Rayn in the back placed her hands against the window and sat up more to see everything better.
"Alright, kid, let's go"

Rayn's P.O.V.
I pushed open the car door and stepped onto the concrete, closing it behind me.
Nathan walked me to a small sit down area next to a playground. It had a small fountain in the center, benches surrounding it, and tables on the outskirts of the concrete area, with concrete paths leading to a playground and hiking trail.
"So, Kid" Nathan looked down at me "Do you want to hang around here, or go the playground?"
"Uhm" I scooted behind him and held his arm "I don't know"
Nathan sighed quietly, moving his arm to pet my hair. "Let's go to the playground first. Then we can hang around here, and finish by going on the small hiking trail. You alright with that?"
"Mhm"
"Alright then"
Nathan nudged me ahead of him, keeping his hand on my back as reassurance. I held my hands close to my chest, keeping my ears back and tail down as we walked. Other kids were on the playground, most were younger than me, but some at least looked my age.
The concrete stopped, creating a boundary around it, with the playground slightly lower than the concrete and covered in wood chips. There was... I think it's called jungle gym, but it's smaller. There's another slide off to the side, 4 swings, a seesaw, 2 large rocks to climb, and a big rainbow wheel with handles that was spinning on the ground, I think a merry-go-round.
"What do you wanna do first, kid?"
"Uhm..." I glanced at the different things that other kids were playing on. The swings were all taken, and the jungle gym had too many kids on it for me. "The rocks?" There weren't many kids over there. It had big blue ropes attached to them that made it easier to climb up, with one of them connecting to the two rocks.
"Alright"
Nathan walked me to the rocks, lifting under my arm pits and sitting me on the smaller rock. He kept his hand on my back as support while I glanced around the park. Another kid popped up on the other side of the rock causing me to jump. He was using the indents instead of the rope to climb up, his elbows propped up on the rock while he moved his leg around and lifted himself up. He laughed as he stood up and balanced on the rope ladder that connected the two rocks as he crossed, falling forward to grab the ropes as it became more vertical, and finally got to the other side.
I glanced at Nathan and he only rubbed my back in response. I gulped, shakily crawling on the rock to get to the ropes. Nathan's hand left my back, but he stayed close as I put both my hands on the first rope. I couldn't keep crawling, so I moved my hands to the farthest rope I could grab, shifting so my feet were on the first rope and I was on all fours. Nathan stood by, his arms positioned under the ropes for me, as I shakily made my way across the rope ladder.
The boy noticed me coming over, so I stopped. He was just staring at me. Was he gonna stop me from coming over? He only smiled, getting down on his hands and knees at the end of the ropes. I slowly continued, looking down through each rope at the woodchips and Nathan's arms that followed me.
"Don't look down!" I glanced up at the boy as he cupped a hand around his mouth. I tried to keep looking at him as I moved, but I kept catching myself drifting back down. I was three ropes away from the bigger rock when the boy reached out and grabbed my jacket. I froze again, shaking slightly as he smiled. "Don't stop! You're almost here!" He tugged on my jacket, trying to move me. Nathan glanced at the boy's tugging hand, but placed his hand on my back again, urging me forward. I reluctantly continued, the boy pulling me up over the edge of the rock, and Nathan removed his hand. "See! That wasn't so hard!" He laughed. I smiled lightly back at him, kinda embarrassed at how scared I was. Someone called the boy's name as he looked behind him. "Gotta go! Bye!"
He jumped off!? My ears launched up in shock as he landed in the woodchips before running off.
I looked back at Nathan in surprise before shying away and looking down, reaching my arms out to him "Off..." I leaned down as far as I could so Nathan could hook his hands under my arm pits again, dragging me off the larger rock, and swinging me back to the floor.
"How about the swings next, kid?" Nathan pointed at the swings with two empty seats.
"Okay..."
