"'Ponine! 'Ponine! You better bloody get up right now! It's the first day! We can't be late!" Yelped Luna, Eponine's new friend and roommate as she shook her friend awake.

Eponine's eyes blinked open, staring up at the wooden board over her dorm bed. The sunlight through the blue stained window shined on her face, making her smile at the morning's beauty.

Her heart raced when her mind trailed back to the young boy she saw at the Great Hall.

What if I see him today? Would he like me? Oh bloody hell, I'm a mess! She thought with a smile on her lips.

Eponine sat up, her dark hair a frizzy mess, and began to slowly get out of her bed and change Ravenclaw robes.

She threw on her Mary Jane shoes with long, grey socks and neatly brushed her hair, pinning her front curtain bangs back with two black clips on the side.

Leaving the dorm room with Luna and her black satchel by her side, the pair walked to their first class, potions, which they dreaded after hearing the rumors of the evil Professor Snape.

Luna and Eponine entered the classroom, the subtle noise of the new students conversing filling their ears.

Eponine and her friend took a seat at a table at the back of the class next to another small, scrawny looking boy with buck teeth and messy hair. He looked scared and nervous, as if someone were to jump out and hurt him at any second.

"Hello, I'm Luna Lovegood, and this is my good friend Eponine" said Eponine's pale friend to the boy. "What's your name?"

The boy looked utterly shocked at the girl who had just spoke to him. As if no one ever had the will to talk to him.

"H- Hi. I'm uh- Neville Longbottom." Said the Gryffindor, looking down at the table.

Luna and Eponine exchanged a quick glance with a smile. A look that said, "We should help him out, he looks scared and looks like he could use a couple of friends."

"Attention, students." Spoke the man with long, black hair that matched the color of his robes, interrupting their table's conversation.

"I will be your Potion's professor for this year..." Continued the intimidating professor.

Eponine's thoughts began to wander away from the professor's words, and she couldn't help but recognize a pair of beautiful grey eyes sitting across the classroom from her.

They were his.

Cedric Diggory's eyes.

The messy brown hair, the charming smile, the all too mesmerizing eyes could be spotted a million miles away.

Eponine awed at his beauty, and couldn't help but stare at him.

"Miss Vitari, I recommend that you pay attention to my next words instead of staring at Mr. Diggory! The next exam's answers are not printed on his forehead!" Said the dark haired professor in a low, stern voice.

Eponine's face turned into a dark shade of red as the entire class began to laugh and stare at her.

Bloody hell, I just want to sink into a hole and die. This is embarrassing. 

 Cedric's pale skin turned pink as his school mates elbowed him and teased him for already getting a girl to like him on the first day.

After class, Eponine couldn't even look at Cedric after the humiliating event in potions class. Her guts felt like they were tangling and ripping out of her stomach. 

Great. My first day and I've already screwed up. Nice job, Eponine

"So, Cedric Diggory, huh? The golden boy?" Luna teased with a smirk.

"Oh shut it Luna" Eponine responded with an eye roll.

While walking back from lunch to her next class, her eyes locked with two grey eyes from across the room, making her innocent heart beat out of her chest.

Merlin, you're so lovely.
