Phoenix wrapped her brother in a tight hug. He hugged her back, tighter, sobbing into her soft curls.

Phoenix never thought that she'd be the one comforting her older brother. She thought it would always be the other way around.

Seeing her brother break down like this made her heart shatter, but she knew that she had to stay strong for him.

"Do you want to see him?" he whispered in her ear.

She nodded, and took his hand, giving it a comforting squeeze, before walking into the room where Abel was staying.

Tears sprung into her eyes as she saw her nephew, small, weak and fighting to stay alive.

She put her hand up to the glass, and just stared at him.

Sure he was small, and weak, and fighting for his life, but he was perfect in every way.

"He's beautiful," she said, not taking her eyes off of him.

Jax came up and hugged her from behind, putting his chin on the top of her head.

They stayed there like that for a long time, just staring at the beautiful little boy in front of them.

"We'll get through this Abel, together. I promise."
