"Aw man! Sabertooth is the best!" my brother Ethan exclaimed. "Now now Ethan, no need to get overexcited" my dad smiled. "We should totally join Sabertooth when we grow up N/n!" Ethan grinned at me. "I don't know about that, I'm not a fan of fighting, especially with magic" I rubbed the back of neck nervously. "Sure you are! Maybe Dad will train you like he trained me!" Ethan said. "I don't want to cause a hassle, it's no big deal" I smiled. "I'll teach you if you want Y/n" Dad said. "Um..okay" I said. "Great! Let's start tomorrow morning 7am sharp!" Dad said. "So early..." I yawned at the though.

~T H E N E X T D A Y~

"Why Dad Why" I yawned, staggering over to him. "It's always good to get a fresh start to the day Y/n!" Dad smiled. "Yeah but waking a child up this early isn't good for my mental health" I said, stretching my arms. "Quit complaining squirt. Anyway let's start with a simple shadow spell. Since I'm a shadow magic user, I'll teach you my magic" Dad said. "Sounds fun. How do I start?" I asked. "Well you see..." he started.

The next few months were great, I mastered shadow magic and Mum began to teach me her type of magic, demon magic. A rare type of magic that many few used. I struggled especially with demon magic but I pulled through. I don't remember a happy time than the next few months all until one day...

"Mum, I don't feel so good" I groaned. "Wimp" Ethan said across the dinner table. "Ethan. Don't be rude. Where does it hurt N/n?" Mum asked me. "Like..everywhere" I whimpered in pain. "Perhaps we should get medical help. Ethan, go get the doctor down the road, he'll know what to do" Dad said. Ethan ran off and Mum put a blanket around me. "Thanks" I whispered weakly.

Ethan came back two minutes later with the doctor and I had gotten worse, my skin was paler and I felt exhausted. The doctor slowly examined me and shook his head. "Is everything okay Doctor?" Mum asked concerned. "Mr and Mrs L/n. I need to speak to you outside" the doctor said gravely. "Oh okay" Dad and Mum went outside with the doctor. "You okay N/n?" Ethan asked. "Mmh" I mumbled. "Y/n, we'll be completely honest with you" Dad came back in with Mum, both of their faces white. "Hit me" I said fearfully. "The magic we taught you is interfering with your blood and has merged with it" Dad said , an arm around Mum. "So what does that mean?" Ethan and I asked. "You're the first shadow demon" Mum whispered. "WHAT?! But how come it didn't happen with Ethan?!" I yelled. "Because you have a rare blood type nobody else has. We're sorry Y/n but after today, we won't be allowed to see each other anymore" Dad said as tears pricked my eyes. "W-what ?! no way... this has to be some kind of sick joke!" I stuttered. "You're being taking to the Sabertooth guild to train and become stronger" Mum cried. Tears trickled down my cheeks as I hugged my family for the very last time.

A man came in and looked at me. "Welcome to the Sabertooth Guild. You'll be an asset" He said.
