Claire P.O.V

Aunt Sara, Kaylee & Megan came rushing inside the room. "what's wrong Susan?" Aunt Sara asked.

"STACEY! WHERE IS SHE!?" mom asked, looking around.

"calm down Susan. Im sure she's...fine" Aunt Sara tried consoling mom who was going hysteric.

"mommy, I met Stacey while I was taking a glass of water. She said she was meetimg her friends" Megan suddenly spoke up.

Meeting friends? I snorted.

"Well Claire you should know where your sister went since she is in the same room as you" Aunt Sara said looking directly at me. "Meeting friends? At this time of the night?" She quirked an eyebrow.

Uh oh...

"Claire? where is Stacey?" mom asked me.

"I...uh...don't know" I stuttered

"Come on now Claire, we know that's not true. Don't worry, we're not going to be mad at you, just tell us dear" Aunt Sara said.

I sighed. "Fine... She went back home to take some stuffs. I told her not to go but she won't listen to me! She should actually be back by now but... " I trailed of unsurely.

"Why the heck did she do that?!" mom shouted, fustrated.

"Claire? oh Claire! what did you do!" Stacey sighed as she entered the room.

I immediately stood up & went over to her. "Geez, sorry. You gave me a heart attack! What took you so long?" I asked her.

Mom, who had been quiet, immediately ran forward to hug her.

"tell me that was the last time you're doing that" mom sighed. "You gave all of us a heart attack Stacey! Anything could've happened & we'd not know"

"yes yes, I know. Won't happen again. I was just packing some stuff that's all" she shrugged.

"well girls, that's enough drama in a day! lets's all go back to sleep. Kaylee, Susan, we should go" Aunt Sara interrupted us all. "Goodnight" She said & carried Megan out.

Mom kissed me & Stacey goodnight then left the room with Kaylee as well. The two of us sighed, looking at each other tiredly.

"I'll be in the bathroom" Stacey muttered heading off.

Since I was ready for bed, I took out the spare mattress in the cupboard before dozing off.

"Claire, wake up! Aunt Sara's got something to tell us!" Stacey shouted, startling me.

I groaned & flicked her off. "Go away" I mumbled, pulling the blanket over my face.

"get going you lazy pig!" Stacey screamed as she snatched the blanket away from me before pulling me up & shoving me into the bathroom.

I scowled but showered quickly before putting on some dry, clean clothes. Then, I headed downstairs.

Everyone was already in the kitchen eating breakfast. Aunt Sara & mom made strawberry pancakes for breakfast. Yum, my favourite! I took my place beside Megan & took a piece before pouring some syrup - not forgetting to top it with vanilla cream; which Aunt Sara apparently had.

"great, everyone's here" Aunt Sara beamed. "well, I have some... news" she cleared her throat.

I sat up straighter on my chair. Oh uh...it dosen't seem good.
