Fight

Toni pov.

I can't believe what he just said to her my blood was boiling but I wasn't sure why I've only known this girl not even for 30 minutes and I feel like I needed to do something so when the jock got in her face, I shoved him to the ground starting a fight I started throwing punches and he threw them back. But about 30 second later I felt a pair of soft arms pulling against me making me pull away. "The hell is wrong with you why would you do that" as Cheryl screamed over with a stern face the crowed who was stilling yelling at me to fight him. " Because he said some messed up things and that's not ok". When Cheryl heard her say that her face lighted up with a small smile. And when the group of students began to being shoved out of the way when mister Wetherbee. Yelled for Cheryl, that annoying jock that I could care less about his name, and me. "But she didn't do anything she stopped the fight" I said ignoring the fact that Cheryl was holding my waist still when she pulled me away from the fight. "I don't care office now" as he walked to the office expected us to follow him. as we were walking Cheryl whispered in my ear "its ok Toni nobody ever done this before so thank you" which gave me chills down my spine. As she let go of my waist walking faster into the office. Sitting down in one of the chairs as we were sitting I told the story about what happened (I'm to lazy to write what happened I think you guys should know)

Once everything was said I was hoping that Cheryl wasn't going to get punished I knew that I would but she had nothing to do with this. "I made a decision and this is final, no arguing with me or the punishment will me worse understood" we all nodded are heads in agreement. "All of you will get 2 weeks of detention right after school". "I opened my mouth wanting to say something but then I look at Cheryl who looked back at me knowing that I was going to and shook her head no so I decided to keep my mouth shut for the time being.

Cheryl pov 

I was in shock of what Toni did I've only know her for an hour not even and she did that for me.as we were walking out of the office to our next class I stopped her pulling her into the student lounge knowing that other students would already be in class." Toni are you ok you look like you got hurt "I touched her face ever so slightly making her flinch " sorry I didn't mean to hurt you". I was really worried that she was hurt but I felt bad that I could have hurt her even more. " No you didn't Cher I was just surprised by you touching me that's all" as she gave me a reassuring grin. " well we need to get you to the nurses office that looks like a nasty bruise" I said

 when we were walking I noticed she was limping but for some reason I didn't notice before." come here let me help". When I woke up this was not what I expected. I did not expect somebody as pretty and kind standing up for me and risking herself getting hurt. As we were walking I saw Betty and Ronnie running to me and I knew they were going to freak when they saw me grabbing her waist. The school only knows that I'm gay because I had a girlfriend about a year ago  I was very proud of my self for coming out to the school but it turns out she was faking to like me so they could make fun of me for being gay. I haven't come out to my parents yet. I know they will support me but I never had the guts to do it. But as I saw Ronnie she made this whistle making fun of the fact that I was holding Toni's waist." Please tell me these are your friends I really don't think I can fight again". Toni said with a concerned look. I laughed at her comment. " No Toni these are my only friend's Betty and Veronica". " well ladies as much as I would like you guys to get talk with Toni more I have to get her to the nurse". " Yea we saw what happened Cheryl we were about to pull her off as well but you beat us to her." Veronica said winking making me fluster thinking about what she did for me.

 " Well about that nurse's office Cher". Toni said trying to move forward but couldn't without my help. " Yea you're right see you guys" as they headed the opposite direction. Once we got to the nurses office  Toni had some issues getting on the table due to her limb. So I grabbed her waist lifting her up to the table. " Thanks red". She said shooting me a wink. I was much more comfortable with her now I mean she threw a punch for me, " no problem Toni also the nurse called in sick so lucky you I know where everything is". I went over to grab a Ziploc bag and filled it with ice. " You will have to put this on your face" I put the ice bag in front of her but she was pouting. " That's going to sting" still with her pouting face on like a toddler that couldn't get ice cream. I knew it was going to get done one way or another, so I just put the ice bag on her face making her wince in pain. " Sorry but it has to get done".

Toni pov.

One of Cheryl's hands was on my face and another on the table. I decided to make a move by putting my hand on hers making her look down I only saw half of her face, but I knew she was blushing. " You know red you don't have to be embarrassed about blushing from my comment". She giggled god that giggle was so cute I thought. I knew I had a crush on this girl but I didn't know if she has a crush on me. " Ok Toni thanks for putting that out there". She grew a small grin but it wasn't a mischievous grin it was a soft, kind grin. I decided to do it, kiss her but as I was leaning  in I notice she was to she grabbed my waist as I cupped her face. Right when are lips brushed against each other Veronica barged in the door.

 "Seriously Ronnie they were about to kiss" Kevin said pulling away his phone. " where you guys recording us" I was annoyed but yet found it funny at the same time. "Well technically yes but it was for a good cause". " What's that's good cause Ronnie"? "Oh no T this is for me and Kev we are captains of this ship". I looked over to Cheryl who still had her hand on my waist. " Well anyways you two love birds I am throwing a small party at my place parents aren't home what do you say". Veronica said skipping around the nurses office just ranting about the party. Cheryl was looking down assuming it was because of them seeing us about to kiss. " Would you guys mind leaving so I could talk to Cheryl". I wanted to talk to her but I didn't want her to be embarrassed about the almost kiss we had." I guess so come on V we need to meet Betty and Jugrat to tell her about the party". When they left I was still on the table and Cheryl's hand was still on my waist. "Are you ok Cher I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable". " She didn't respond she just nodded looking at the ground. "Cheryl please tell me what's bothering you so I could fix it". She lifted her head up slowly from the ground. I looked into her eyes as she looked into mine. " I was embarrassed that's all nothing more nothing less I'm ok Toni". "Good because would you like to be my date to the party, she said it was small so I'm guessing she means inner circle". I was really hoping she said yes. "I would love to go as your date and yea its only inner circle you could invite some of your friends after the party we usual just crash over there". "Well princess see you in detention also call you parents because we are going to drive to my place afterwards since you don't have a car". "U-um yea s-sure". " Well I would love to stay and chat but I got to go to English".  So with some help I got off the table and kissed Cheryl's check and walked to class.
