The next day was uneventful for Violet. She was bummed over her parents leaving just after they had arrived from a different business trip. A short dinner the previous night did not make up for the time gone. But, she understood. She was their on
ly other heir and she had to learn to sacrifice her time with loved ones for their better future, even though a big part of her knew that wouldn't be the case when she took over. She sat by herself at the bleachers of the basketball court, waiting for her two best friends to arrive. She hoped they hadn't hopped into the janitor's closet to do the dirty.
A warm body sat very close next to her and she was surprised to see Eros. He was dressed in his basketball jersey which made her wonder if he just got there to practice.
"Take this," he lightly threw a juice can in her lap, "it came with this." He pointed at his own when he saw her questioning face.
Violet thanked him softly, opening the can to enjoy the gift.
"Are you waiting for Zach and Carter?" It was out of the ordinary for Eros to start a conversation but she did not mind. She nodded her head, "Yes, they were supposed to be here 20 minutes ago."
"They won't be out for a while," she saw an amused grin paint over his beautiful features and groaned trying to hide her heated cheeks.
"Do you wanna hang out with me?" Eros rubbed his nape, waiting for her response.
"Why not, what do you have in mind?" He felt unknown relief wash over him.
"Well, there's this new burger place I've been wanting to try." Violet nodded happily and sent a text to her best friends that she would be leaving and that they could hangout later.
"Wait here, I'll be back," he threw his drink in the trashcan and ran to the locker room.
Eros didn't realise just how erratic his heartbeat was until he was out of Violet's sight. He wanted to scream but maintained a blank face since they were other guys in the locker room. He quickly changed from his jersey and ran back to where Violet was waiting.
"Let's go." Violet smiled sweetly at him making him want to pull her cheeks, but he couldn't, not yet.
Eros led her to his car, swiftly opening the door for her. Unlike the previous ride, the silence in the car felt comfortable to both of them. He was trying his hardest not grin while Violet tried her best to avoid blushy cheeks.
They pulled up in front of the small, humble looking restaurant. To say Violet was excited would be an understatement. She loved visiting small cozy cafes and restaurants and it felt as though Eros somehow knew that.
"What shall we try?" Eros looked down to her with twinkling eyes, the ones she had never seen on his gorgeous face before.
"How about we make a deal? We'll come here every week and try a new burger on the menu," she grinned.
"Is this your way of asking me out, Violet?" His mouth curved with a smirk. Violet widened her eyes as a very strong sense of heat spread through her face.
"I...n-no.." she gulped, looking away.
Eros laughed throwing his head back, a hand draped over his stomach. She watched in surprise that the boy who always walked around with a blank face and icy glare was amused by her. But, she wasn't going to lie. It made her feel good.
"Okay then, every week, this day. You cannot back out now, Violet." He whispered, wiping off fake tears from his eyes. She both loved and hated the way her name rolled off his tongue. She hated how much of an effect it had on her.

"Thank you for hanging out with me today," Violet smiled, removing her seat belt.
"Violet," Eros stopped her, "I....I...a couple of friends and I are going to the amusement park this weekend..."
She looked him questioningly, chiding her heart to not get excited, "...and I want you to come."
Both of them saw each other's faces turning bright red in embarrassment. Eros coughed lightly, turning his head away. Violet's stomach had erupted in butterflies, making it difficult for her mind to form a proper sentence. Her cellphone pinged, shattering the silence.
"Yes, I'll come."
"Great, I'll text you the details," he tried to hide his eagerness to see her again. He grabbed her phone, saving his contact and calling his phone to save her number.
"See you," Violet hurriedly got out of the car before he could respond, rushing to get into the comfort of her home.
'Calm down, Vi, he was just being nice.'
"Vi!" She jumped at the sudden voice, sighing in relief when she saw Zach and Carter.
"Where were you?"
"Well, after I was abandoned by my best friends," she threw a glare at them, making them uncomfortable, "Eros hung out with me."
"Oh my G! Vi and Eros sitting in a tree-"
"Do not complete that!" She screeched, running away from them.
Violet led her friends inside her room as she explained the events of the day to them. The pair could not stop squealing.
"So you're going on two dates in one week?" Carter looked at Violet and Zach with puppy eyes, "babe, why aren't we going on dates that often?" he fake cried making his other two friends roll their eyes.
"It's not a date!" Violet squeaked, "it's just two loners hanging out!" It was Carter's turn to roll his eyes.
"Whatever you say, sweetie."
Violet's phone pinged, indicating a text message. Before she could reach for it, the boys had already snatched it away from here.
"Oooh! A text from lover boy!"
Hey
Eros here
Just wanted to say this is my number
and...
I had fun today too!
See you :)"Gah! So cute! I'm getting all mushy!" Zach fanned himself, wiping off a fake tear. He then proceeded to change the contact name from Eros to 'Lover Boy'. The pair giggled among themselves as they sent a text message back.
See you <3
Violet almost screamed her head off, noticing Eros had already seen the text. Her glare deepened, now falling on the boy who didn't seem as giggly as a few seconds ago.
"Shit, run baby!"
