Zevrei stood against the wall of an elaborate ballroom, he had been hired to be a bodyguard for a rich man's son. He looked over in the distance watching his companions Grug the goliath, Marceline the shifter, Tai the human, and his goblin friend who he always forgot the name of.

Across the ballroom a beautiful elf offered his friend Tai a drink, he politely declined. Tai was suspicious of the elf's tricks. Zevrei had a dislike for elves ever since a homeless elf had attempted to steal from him.

Zevrei began to nod off growing unfocused and thinking back to his past and about all the bad things that had happened when he was younger. He did not notice the elven woman approaching.

The elven woman spoke "Hello".
Zevrei turned to look at her, "can I help you?"
The elf smiled "Yeah, I couldn't help but noticed that you were alone"
Zevrei looked at her suspiciously "I'm used to being by myself."
She smiled softly "that's not good"
They continued to talk into the evening.

The elven woman eventually suggested they go admire the view of the city. Zevrei foolishly agreed and followed her to a room with a large window that showcased the entire town. Zevrei was amazed "it's beautiful"
The elf responded "yeah"
Zevrei was suddenly hit over the back of his head and he passed out.

*an hour later*

Zevrei awoke in a dark room tied to a chair, he heard arguing coming from somewhere in the room. He looked up slowly and saw the elf girl arguing with what appeared to be an orc.

Zevrei groggily called out "Hey!"
They both turned and looked at him. The elf girl whispered something in the orc's ear and stepped forward, "tell us where it is."

Zevrei looked at her confused "where what is?"

"The artifact"

"What artifact"

"Don't play dumb, do I look stupid to you?"

"I don't know what you're talking about, and yes you do."

The elf looked very angry, and grumbled something under her breath.

"Okay let's try this again. We're looking for -artifact description- in order to save the world"

"Ooooooooooh, if I tell you where it is will you untie me?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because you'll go tell your companions and run away"

"I promise I won't"

"We don't believe you. Now tell us where it is."

"I'm gonna tell you but you have to untie me after."

"Sure."

"My friend grug has it"

"Who's that and what does he look like?"

"He's a goliath"

"Great!" She turns to the orc and says "watch him." Before hurrying out of the room.

Zevrei looked at the orc and the orc looked at Zevrei.

Zevrei stared at him expectantly "you gonna untie me yet?"

The orc replied "uh she said not to so you have to stay right there. Thanks for the help though"

"Please"

"I'm sorry but I can't"

Zevrei begins to insistently say please

The orc grows tired "please stop.."

Zevrei lies "I have to pee" (deception check is failed)

The orc looks at him suspiciously

Zevrei sighs "at least tell me your name"

The orc looks confused "uh um its Darren"

"Cool name, I'm Zevrei"

"Thanks?"

"Please untie me now"

Darren sighs "fine but you can't tell the girl, she has a really bad temper"

"I won't, I promise"

Darren unties Zevrei, Zevrei calmly get up and smiles at Darren. Darren questions Zevrei "so what do you know about the artifact?"

Zevrei describes the entire story of retrieving the artifact.

Darren is amazed "wow that's just... wow"

Zevrei replies "yeah... do you know any games we can play?"

Darren perks up "Yeah have you ever played....?"
