Yuri was in the studio, recording the guides to her songs. Yuri was a famous lyricist, composer, and producer at first but when people accidentally heard the song's guide from the idols and singers of the company, fans became curious and wanted to know who was the one singing it. Chaewon, one of the idols of the company, told the fans about who was singing the guide and even introduced Yuri in the show when Chaewon was having a recording for her solo album. Hence, Yuri also started to get famous to become a great singer even though Yuri stayed behind the scene.
The success of Yuri didn't come from herself, that's how Yuri believed. Although to some people, it didn't matter which company Yuri was in, she would still produce great music. Throughout the years, there had been a lot of companies tried to recruit Yuri as their lyricist and composer from the great songs she wrote and produced but Yuri always declined that offer. She would give her songs for their artists to sing if she saw fit but she wouldn't move from the company she was in. To those companies and those who didn't follow Yuri from the start, it would probably because Yuri was highly paid and given great facilities, but the truth behind it wasn't that. There wouldn't be this Yuri if there wasn't her best friend and now girlfriend, Yena, who purposely built a company just for her so that she could create music that she wanted without pressure and basically did whatever she want. The idea that she said was ridiculous at first and they went through a lot of arguments with Yena's persistence to it. Besides, Yuri didn't think her songs would be that successful without Yena, because it would always be the two of them doing the composing for the music arrangement. When Yena started to get busier with her acting career and business, that's when Yuri started to compose by herself. Yena would still listen to it and also helped her assigned the song to the groups that they thought suitable to the song. When it came to producing, mostly would still be done by the both of them although when the latter was busy, she would be helped by Yena's manager, Eunbi.
She walked out of the recording room and went to the panel to replay the recordings she had done earlier. It's just some songs that she had finished written and composed for quite some time. The staff who helped her with it had walked out of the room the moment she saw her coming out, continuing the latter's work. Yuri then sat down on the chair and listened to the songs. She marked a few of the songs that she felt uncertain of to ask Yena about it later.
Suddenly the silence of the room was broken by the sound of someone opening the door. Someone's head poked in to greet Yuri who had turned to face the door and paused the song playing.
"Unnie, not going home yet?" Yujin, one of the idols in the company greeted the older. Yujin was one of the few idols in the company who joined them from the start when their company literally had no name or reputation in the entertainment world.
"Not yet. Maybe after this." Yuri replied, smiling softly to assure the younger not to worry about her.
"Just not too late okay. Yena unnie wouldn't like it."
"I know. Don't worry, okay?"
"By the way, when is Yena unnie coming back?" Yujin asked, since the younger was pretty close to the boss. Although actually, everyone who's working in Yena's company was close to her. Yena was the type of boss that was going to be strict when it's needed to be.
"She hasn't told me about it. In a few days, I think." Yuri pondered a moment before answering. "You know she sometimes goes to help her father's business first before heading back."
Yujin nodded a few times at the reasoning. How could she forget about it? Maybe it's been a few months Yujin didn't see Yena that she missed her favourite unnie. In the end, Yujin stepped into the recording room and took a seat next to Yuri. She decided not to go home yet and kept Yuri company for a while.
