It all happened so fast... they shot...
I could've been killed. But thank god it wasn't me. But I almost lost my bestfriend, my boyfriend, the father of my child, yeah, it was true I am pregnant. 3 and a half months. Everybody knows now except my mom. I'm freaked to tell her. Rico is still recovering from getting hit. And naija's little brother was killed... all because of some stupid argument. I've been keeping my pregnancy a secret. I thought nobody should know until naija put it out there.
"Hey baby you good?" I asked walking into the doctors office with McDonald's. I got him his favorite a mcchicken with a large fry a sprite and 3 cookies. Meanwhile I got myself a 20 piece chicken nugget meal with 2 cookies.
"Yeah I'm good how's my babies?" He asked.
"We're good" I said laughing. He was so supportive of me. And I'm glad he was.
"Come sit" he told me.
I sat there in the bed with him eating our food while he started at me.
"What ugly?" I asked him.
"Your pregnancy belly cute" he said.
"Thank you bae. But I'm a little big to only be 3 months. You think?" I asked.
"Does it matter you're healthy. Both of you." He said.
"You're right" I said. "But hey I haven't told my mom yet." I said.
"Even after the shooting?" He said.
"Nope I was hoping to tell her today-". I said as my mom walked in.
"Hey babies how are y'all." She said giving both of us hugs.
"We're good Ms.Taylor" he said.
"Yeah ma. We good" I replied.
"Mom I have to tell you something." I said.
"We have to tel you something." Rico said interrupting me and holding my hand.
"What child?..." my mom said.
"We pregnant." Rico said straight forward.
My mom just looked at us both with a blank stare. You couldn't tell if she was mad or nothing. Just straight up blank...
".... I know babies.." she said.
"You know?" I asked.
"I know my daughter brielle. I'm not proud of it but what type of mother would I be if I abandoned my daughter at a moment like this?" She said as she rubbed my stomach.
"Ms.Taylor I apologize." Rico said.
"Oh baby it's not your fault. Nor is it hers. And she act like I didn't get to hospital emails." She said laughing.
