Another day, another 6 hours of leftist indoctronation, Ben thought. Ben sighed as the form teacher droned on.
Too loudly apparently since he heard a "Ben is there something you'd like to say?"
Ben smiled to himself and said, "Thank you, Mr Atchison, yes, in fact, there is something I'd like to say. So, firstly -"
"-Ben, that was clearly a rheotorical statement, Mr Atchison doesn't want to listen to your drivel", interupted Andrew Neil, Ben's sworn rival.
Ben's eyes narrowed. "Well Andrew, given that he lectures us on liberal propaganda, I will concede on-"
"And that is simply because nobody wants to listen to your wild, unbacked claims"
"HAHAHAHA good one!", boomed Taylor Ma'Tort, Andrew's lackey.
"That's enough!" Interrupted Mr. Atchison.
Ben didn't try to continue, Mr. Atchison gave out as many detentions as blues states do abortions.
Mr. Atchison continued giving the daily announcements, so Ben let his mind wander until he heard a "we have a new student here today, transfering all the way from England". His eyes found a brunette with sparkling blue eyes at the front of the class.
The boy twitched slightly and introduced himself in a breathy tone, "He-he-hello everyman everygirl - haha - my n-name is Simon and I'm in your school now haha ha".
"Thank you for that, Simon", Mr Atchison said, "now why don't you take a seat over there", referring to the empty seat next to Ben. Simon's nostrils flared wildly, yet he grinned as he took his seat.
"Now we are sitting on each other - next to each other haha - I will tell you how I-I once squeezed my sister's fist really hard in my hand. I did it because she used the hot water inside the kettle I just boiled for my cho-ch-cho hot chocolate. So I grabbed her hand hard and squeezed, squeezed really hard like this-", Simon demonstrated by encasing one fist in the other and clenching it, "- and the sister - my sister - she bit my arm! That's the whole entire story."
After Simon said his piece he turned away and fixed his attention on the light above them. Ben's mind told him he ought to end this conversation and avoid the boy where possible, yet he found himself almost mesmerised when this Simon boy spoke. He was an interesting person if anything could be said about him.
"So, Simon, why'd you transfer here..?" ventured Ben.
Simon stared upwards for a few more seconds and then snapped his head towards Ben, giggled to himself and said, "I won't say."
"Well, I suppose that it is within your rights to refuse... Okay what does your timetable look like?", replied Ben.
Simon handed fumbled through his bag and handed over his timetable. He can't have had it for more than 20 minutes and it already had a large, yellow stain.
Ben took it by the clean spots and scanned it: They shared double PE later today, a single session on Thursday, maths on Tuesday and Thursday. He wasn't sure whether to be glad at the common lessons or not.
Before Ben had a chance to think more he was interupted by Simon sniggering and asking, "how many pr-printers does this school have?"
