Chapter 2 “Fated? Mysterious Coincidence”

I like the music it feels like who ever had this first was really having difficult time from his or her love. I unintentionally sung the piece by following the lyrics provided in the booth, then someone pinches me and I accidentally drop my Music notes and the one who pinch me helped me to pick those up and forget to pick the last one note which I was recently finished writing.
“Oh! Ikaw pala!” I asked with a shock on my face while my heart beats really fast. It was Zach, I really don’t know why from the first time I saw him I was having this feeling. It was just ridiculous, I swear I really don’t like this feeling.
“Yea. Di kapa umuwi? Sina Jason?” – Zach
“Ah. Umuwi na. Nauna na sila dumaan pa kase ako dito. Habang pinapatila nadin yung ulan. Ikaw? Buti hindi kapa umuwi? Mga kasama mo?” I replied.
“Wala nauna na rin sila. Wala kang kasama uuwi? Gabi na ah. Hindi ba delikado sa lugar niyo? Have your car?” – Zach
“Ah. Wala my dad never want me to have a car delikado daw ayaw ko naman na palageng may driver na kasama. Baka mag taxi nalang ako malapit lang naman yung Royale Subdivision e and papasundo nalang kay Jason sa entrance strict kase dun kahit taxi di na masyado pinapapasok.” I briefly explained.
“What a coincidence, dun karin pala.”- Zach
“Uh? Oo baket? – Cris
“Kakalipat lang namen dun last week, sa Kolbe Street kame tabe tabe kame nila Andrew, Mark at Daniel. Ako nalang kase sa kanila yung hindi nakatira dun kaya I ask my Dad if I can have my place there.” – Zach
“I see. Kayo pala nakatira sa mismong tabe ng bahay namen and just a few walk kena Jason and Sandra na. What a coincidence nga.” – I blankly replied thinking, he was the guy I saw from my window whose room was a mess that you can look out from my window and thought he was a ghost.
“Yes! So wanna have a ride neighbor?” He asked sincerely.
“Uh. Okay. Thank you.” I said without any hesitations.
“Let’s go.” – Zach
While he was driving his car I felt a bit uncomfortable because of the ridiculous beat in my heart which result in not answering him and listening to his stories until he wave his hand in front of me.
“Hey. Are you okay?” – Zach
“Ang weird lang kase ng feeling e” I told him without knowing and came to my senses.
“What?” – Zach
“Ah. Wala I think it’s just weird na hindi man tayo ganun magkakilala but here I am riding in your car and driving me home.” – I utter.
“Oh. Don’t think of anything else I am just here as a good school mate and a senior. I won’t do anything to you except that...” – Zach jokingly replied
“Huh?” – I blankly replied again.
“Nothing, so you’re a singer? You sound really good.” – Zach
“Ah, thank you. I was a choir in the school and church.”
“Can I ask you something?” – Zach curiously asks.
“Uh? What is that?
“Uhm what is really the connection of...”
“Oh! Here we are. Thank you for the ride. See you in school. Bye.” I shyly wave my hands and get out of his car while walking towards the gate. I really intended to not let him finish his question cause I think I know what would be the question is. He will ask me about my real connection with his friend, Andrew Xavier Chua. My first love, my first long time boyfriend and my first heartbreak. Yes, he was that guy who causes this bitterness in me and it’s kind of funny that the beat of my heart was not when he’s around but with his friend who I hate the most.
After I took a bath, while drying my hair I sneak a peek on the window where I was so shocked that Zach was watching me and waving his hand. Reading his lips says, “Hello. Tulog kana? Good night sayo. See you sa school” which give a smile on my face and just threw myself to bed and slept with that smile.
The next day in school, after posting the camping details the committee sets a meeting for all the varsities who will participate the camping and fortunately me, Sandra, and Jason are all coming. There are also representatives for the swimming team which mean the four famous boys are coming, Mark, Daniel, Andrew and Zach. There is also this one girl from other school who seem quite to be obsessed with Andrew which comes up and fixed herself to be on Drew’s group. But the committee clearly explains that...
“The groups in the camping will be composing of 6 in a group and this group will have to live in a month with each other to know the meaning of life and love. The name of the development workshop camp is “Me and their life” so the groups are clearly made up and here are the list.”
“Groups are listed by the board of trustees and we make sure that we have 2 sports included in the group.”
“The first group is a special group which the daughter of the Saint Ann University is included its Bella Grace Cardin, with the 2 swimmers Andrew Xavier Chua, and Adam Zach Hawthorne, with two basketball players Jason Miguel Corpus and Cristhine Lewis Thompson with the Badminton player Cassandra Marie Santos.” -Committee
And yes the groupings was I guess a disaster for me, Why in the world is that I should be with him. Is this a joke? What the heck happen to the groupings, but when I saw Zach that was so happy about the groupings and gave me a high-five? I just smiled and my heart pounds in happiness and I don’t know why. Is this still a coincidence? The camping will be tomorrow and we really need to prepare and get up early because the venue seems to be really far from the city.
