It seems like everyone else had found their soulmate but Cameron. They spent hours, days, weeks searching for whoever was at the end of their string, but to no avail. Cameron was a 20-year-old flower shop owner who spent their days working or searching. Cameron was losing hope as the Days turned into weeks, turned into months, then finally years. Three whole years past their due date. Everyone knew 17 was the age you found your love, but not for Cameron.

After a long day of work at their small shop, Cameron started down the sidewalk passing all sorts of people in love. At first, it had bothered them, but now Cameron was used to seeing everyone around them holding hands and kissing. They longed for the feeling of cuddles and kisses, an aching within their soul. No matter how long they searched, they didn't think they would ever find their soulmate. Oh, but how they wished they would. Approaching their small 1 story home with a little garden in front, Cameron stopped to pick a small yellow daffodil and carried on with it placed behind their ear.

Cameron placed their keys on the counter and kicked their shoes off before deciding they were hungry for dinner. They threw on some music and tied an apron around their waist, beginning to sway to the music as they added a variety of different spices to the potato soup. Humming along to the tune of Sophia by Clario, Cameron finished their cooking and sat at the table to eat some soup. "Another lonely night, huh Toby? Well, at least I have you." Cameron said to their Tabby cat, Toby.

Taking their dishes to the sink, Cameron put the daffodil from earlier in a tiny vase on the windowsill. After cleaning the dishes they went to the bathroom and took a warm bubble bath, trying to forget about the loneliness growing inside. Cameron exited the bath and changed into some comfortable clothes, laying down to rest. Crush Culture by Conan Gray was playing softly from the kitchen as Cameron drifted to sleep, alone for another night.
