Cameron awoke to the sound of their alarm beeps bright and early for work. They made their bed and showered, changing into a yellow tank top and pink skirt that flowed down to their knees. They attached two small pins of the nonbinary flag and the Minecraft logo to their tanktop. On their way out the door, Cameron grabbed a tangerine for breakfast.
Gliding down the sidewalk, they quickly made it to their small flower shop. The flower shop was stuck between two large buildings. One had a green and white striped portico jutting out the front, and the other was a small cafe with large brown doors. Cameron swung the front doors of the flower shop open, and walked in, flipping the sign over to say that they were open. They went around to each flower bouquet and inspected them carefully, checking for dead leaves and discoloration. After caring for the flowers, Cameron pulled up a barstool behind the counter and awaited the first customers.
The walls of the petite shop were drenched in yellow. Framed on the walls were photos of marigolds and carnations. Bees and ducks could be spotted anywhere and everywhere. The Chrysanthemums were shining as bright as ever, alongside the primroses. Cameron looked up as the bell rang, signaling that a customer had arrived. A smiling brunette waltzed into Cameron's shop, straight to the counter.
"Hey, I'm Y/n! I like your pin, Minecraft is awesome." He said joyfully. "Oh, thanks!" Cameron said slightly flustered. The blonde proceeded to order two dozens of primroses and daffodils. As they walked out the glass doors, Cameron held their hand up to wave goodbye, fixating on the red string looped around their finger. They traced the string directly to the blonde. And then it clicked. "WAIT!" Cameron practically yelled bolting out the doors, but it was too late, he was already gone.
Cameron went through the rest of their day in a distant state, not making many conversations with anyone. They drooped their head walking home in their pink skirt. Unlocking their door and removing their shoes, Cameron placed another daffodil from the shop in their small vase. Eating the leftover soup from the day before, Cameron recounted the day's events. The stunning blonde that so happened to be their soulmate, running into the street to chase after someone already gone. They began to cry and question why this happened. Toby clawed onto their lap in an attempt to comfort his owner.
Cameron cleared their plate, not bothering to wash any dishes tonight, and ran up the stairs. They clicked on the television and started their PS4. Maybe Minecraft would cheer them up. Not really having any plans or goals, Cameron logged onto a server. They played a few games until it was later in the evening. Deciding it would be better to get some sleep, they shut the console and tv off, drifting off to Comfort Crowd by Conan Gray.
