Kara's prov
When I woke up I saw sun light in the cracks of my curtains. That's weird I always wake up before sunrise. I looked at the clock and it read 9:53 am. I have never slept so late in my life. It was actually a decent sleep too. Only a few nightmares. I got up and got dressed. My stomach is growling and I need coffee.
I head down stairs to the kitchen and hear a conversation going on.
"We are searching for a way to bring him back. So far only one way will." Lockheart said.
"There has to be another way! I want my son back!" An unknown male voice said.
"If I find out who is responsible for this they will pay!" An unknown female said crying.
"Calm down. We will figure it out. I promise." Silvers said.
I walk into the kitchen and all eyes are on me. "Good morning Kara. Are you just waking up?" Bennett asked.
"Good morning. And yes. I have never slept so late in my life." I replied getting some coffee.
"Kara, this is the Royal Lycan Beta Knight and Beta female." Lucas said then turned to them and said "This is Kara or also known as The Black Rose."
Their eyes widen and they shook my hand. "Alpha King and Luna Queen would love to meet you. Please follow us." Mr Knight said. I did. So much for eating. We reached out back by the park playground. I see two rather tall people. I mean everyone is taller than me other than the little kids but they are taller.
"Alpha, this is Kara aka The Black Rose." Beta said. He turned around so did his mate and looked at me up and down.
"You are The Black Rose? No offense but your so tiny." The king said.
"Yes I am your majesty." I was going to say something else but Lucas interrupted.
"Don't let her size fool you. Her wolf is rather large." He looked at me smirking.
"May we see darling?" The queen questioned.
Then I hear Zane scream "I want to play with Mia! I want to play with Mia!" He ran towards us. Mia is laughing and wagging her tail.
I stepped back and shifted. Everyone was in awe. Zane wrapped his arms around my neck hugging me.
A gaurd showed up out of breath "He's out of control. Thrashing and breaking the silver chains. No one can get close enough to sedate him." He said panting. Just then we hear a loud crash followed by screaming.
"GET ALL THE CHILDREN AND WOMEN TO SAFETY NOW!" the king commanded.
Zanes mom picked him up and started taking him to the main house. Just then a huge wolf appears growling and stalking towards us. I take a defensive stance in front of the women and children. He keeps advancing but stops growling instead he is sniffing the air. Taking deep breaths. Mia and I are confused. Just then Lockheart mindlinked me "don't attack unless he does. Just stay put. And don't kill him he is the Royal betas son." That is easier said than done I think. I am big for a wolf but he's a lot bigger. He stopped right in front of me. We lock eyes and our noses touch. I jump a little my ears go back and I back up slowly.
This can't be happening again! I am for the first time in years terrified. He shifts into a breath taking man. Black un-kept hair, beard mustache. Rugged looking. And blue eyes a person can get lost in. The only thing he had on was old shredded jeans. I shift and am frozen in my spot. Mia doesn't know what to do either. Run, hide, reject him before he can us? We don't know. Then he opens his mouth "Mate" and a tear runs down his cheek. I start shaking in fear. He walks up to me and puts his hand on my cheek. Sparks flying everywhere. Next thing I know I am up off the ground and in his arms wrapped tightly around me. He's taking in my sent and whispered "are you going to reject me? Please don't!" I was shocked at the last part he sounded so broken.
"I figured you were going to reject me like my first one did." I replied and he tightened his grip and growled loudly. "MINE!" A few seconds later he said "MINE!" again. Mia came forward and said "Yours as long as you are only mine." He growled in content shaking his head.
"You can't have what is mine. Get your hands off MY MATE!" Cory yelled.
Then what shocked me was Anna came strutting towards us wearing very little clothing that looked like what a stripper would have on and said "Whore stay away from my mate!" She rejected him why?
He pulled me closer and was about to say something but the royal beta female spoke first and lets just say she was not happy "It was you! You rejected my baby! You took him away from me for years because of it! You bitch!"
"I wanted someone with power. I thought he was only a warrior. But since I know he's the Royal beta I want him back."
I was fuming. I looked at my second chance mate to see his reaction. His face was blank. He slowly started walking to her and my heart started to break. "Now you want me back. You never gave me a chance. Never tried to know me. You looked at me with disgust and rejected me." He said with no emotion.
"I regret it. My wolf and I feel lost without you. Come on and I can show you how sorry I am." She went to grab his hand. He backed up and then stated "Do you think I would take you back? You bare the mark of your chosen. I can smell how much of a fucking whore you are. You have at least 6 other male sents on you." She was shocked as he walked back to me. Then he continued "This is my Mate. You never will be. You made your choice years ago now live with it."
He picked me up and nuzzled my neck. Then walked to his parents. "My baby is back!" I jumped down so his mom could hug him. His dad patted my back and smiled at me. "Let's get you cleaned up and fed." His mom said. His mom took him up to their rooms so I went into the kitchen and looked for what I wanted to fix them to eat. I finally decided on nice big steaks, I seasoned some chopped up potatoes and threw them in the oven. Then made a homemade apple pie. As the other food got done they came back down and I set plates on the table each piled with food. We ate and talked. I found out rejection for a lycan is normally deadly they don't live long after it to find their second chance mate. They go so nuts that usually they are killed. I was relieved that didn't happen to Giddion.
I also found out that when a lycan finds their second chance mate the need to mark and mate are 100 times stronger than werewolfs. That frightens me. But Mia is all for it.
I went to take plates back to the kitchen after we were done. As I walk in something hits my head really hard and I hear "By will or force you will be mine. You chose force." It was Cory.
With the mate bond I have with Giddion I linked him for help. Then I passed out.
