The group drove into town and Cleo noticed Shaggy had a zoned out look in his eye. 'He must truly want Cat to know how much he cares for him.' thought Cleo with a sigh. "Armon, get off my leg!" yelled Rath. "Sorry, there isn't exactly a lot of room back here." said Armon trying to shift but ended up hitting Spaceman. "Hey! Watch it!" he yelled. "I told brother to rent a car of his own but he refused to listen." said Cleo shaking her head. "That's because Nefertina would've either complained about how slow it was or crash it somehow. OWW! HEY!" yelled Starchild as someone hit him in the back of the head. "At least we brought a couple tents otherwise no one would be able to get to sleep!" said Demon. "That was one idea I fully approved of." said Cleo protecting her stomach. "Everything alright back there?" asked Luis. "Just ducky." said Catman who was sprawled on top of Scooby. "Reah, rucky!" repeated Scooby. "Note the sarcasm. OW! Who kicked me!?" yelled Cleo "Like my bad!" cried Shaggy trying to keep Jakal off him. "Ugh, next time we join Cleo on one of these things I say we bring the Hot Ra with us!" said Nefertina in annoyance. "Agreed!" said everyone in union.
One circus clown type ride later.....
"Like ohhhh my back!" said Shaggy as everyone finally piled out of the Mystery Machine after a long ride. Well, to anyone sitting in the back of the Mystery Machine it felt that way. "At least you didn't get kicked in the stomach." groaned Cleo rubbing her swollen mid section. "You know we wouldn't have had that problem if your brother hadn't opened his mouth." said Catman rubbing his head. "Hey!" yelled Rath glaring at the drummer. "Like dude, he's got a point!" said Shaggy. "I'm with Shaggy on that note." said Demon. "Yes, you really should've kept your mouth sealed, brother dear." said Cleo as Alejo and Luis lead the gang into town. "As you can see, the market is usually very busy around this time. However things had begun to change as soon as the monster appeared." explained Alejo. Cleo looked around and sure enough, there were hardly any people in the market. "Keep your eyes peeled you two!" whispered Shaggy. "I doubt we'll find anything around here." said Rath crossing his arms. "Oh, I beg to differ on that note, dear brother." said Cleo noticing a couple locals painting on a stone wall a ways away. "Painting, like how will that help?" asked Shaggy. "Try painting something that shows affection, Shaggy. But I'd make sure it went along with the theme they are painting as not to offend anyone." said Cleo crossing her arms. "It's worth a try I suppose." said Rath. "Huh, like that's not a bad idea. Like make sure you cover for me! And like keep the others away from the wall for a few hours." said Shaggy running towards the other painters. "A few hours? How in Ra's name does he propose we do that!?" asked Rath. "Sometimes it pays to be pregnant." said Cleo looking around the ground and finally found a stick randomly laying next to one of the stands. "Oh Demon!" said Cleo in a sing song voice hiding the stick behind her back. Cleo could visibly see her husband tense. It almost made her feel bad what she was going to do when he did nothing wrong but Cleo supposed she could make it up to him later. "Someone's in trouble again!" laughed Starchild. "I didn't do anything this time!" hissed Demon. "Then why's she holding a stick?" asked Catman. "If you were a girl and were as pregnant as Cleo is only to have someone repeatedly hit you in the stomach, wouldn't you be mad too?" asked Nefertina. "We were all getting hit. Then again, I suppose if I had a defenseless infant growing in me I'd be pretty mad too." said Spaceman thoughtfully. "Nice help you guys are!" said Demon sarcastically. "Better run, Senor, your wife has an evil glow to her eyes." said Alejo. Demon froze for a minute and spun around. Sure enough, Cleo's eyes were glowing. "Now wait a minute, Cleo! I wasn't the only one sitting in the back with you!" said Demon backing up slowly. "Oh? And who was the one who vowed to make sure no harm came to me regardless? Well aren't our children inside me and I got kicked repeatedly when you could've blocked the hits?" asked Cleo with a smile as her eyes glowed brighter. "OK. Now she's really mad.....RUN!" yelled Fred as everyone scattered in different directions screaming.
Two hours later.....
Cleo had finally stopped chasing everyone just as Shaggy returned. "Hey man, like what I miss?" he asked chewing on a sandwich. "You ridn't ret me one!" accused Scooby. "Sorry, Scoob old buddy old pal, like I did get you one but I ate it waiting for you guys to come back!" laughed Shaggy. "At least you didn't have to run from Cleo for the past two hours." panted Fred. "Like who made her mad, man?" asked Shaggy. "Demon didn't do a good job protecting their unborn children apparently." said Starchild. "Now that Cleo's calmed down for now, how are we going to find out more about this monster we are hunting?" asked Jakal. "Why not ask the locals? They know better than we do." said Armon. "Jinkies, that's a great idea, Armon! We can use my video camera to document our interviews!" said Velma taking out a video camera. "Armon, having a good idea? Someone's been dropped on their head one too many times or is clearly delusional." said Rath as Cleo smacked the back of his head with the stick she was still holding. "OW! Give me that!" yelled Rath chasing his sister. "Rath, can't you get along with your sister for five minutes!?" yelled Jakal after his friend. "I don't think Rath even knows how to get along with her period. He was an only child back in ancient Egypt, remember?" asked Nefertina. "Que? Ancient Egypt? Wouldn't that make you four over 3000 years old?" asked Alejo. "And actual mummies?" asked Luis gripping the amulet Charlene gave him. Armon, Jakal, and Nefertina looked at each other with worried expressions until Velma spoke up. "Of course they're not real mummies! Cleo's brother and his friends are just people in costumes. Unfortunately at times as Cleo will tell you, they seem to forget to come out of character. Besides, it's scientifically impossible to bring the dead back to life." "Ah I see, lo siento mis amigos! Sorry if my brother and I have offended you in any way." said Alejo. "It's alright, we get that a lot more than you think." said Jakal.
