"I should tell him", Y/N kept thinking to herself.
She had caught feelings, no she hadn't.
She had feelings the whole damn time.
2 years of denial, 2 years of trying to make those feelings go away.
2 years that were gone to waste because nothing had changed.

He, the man himself, was in her house this very moment.
Y/N watched him flip the book he was reading, while she looked at her psychology textbook that she had just bought.
Next year she would be attending university without him.
( pretend corpse went to high school )
She couldn't imagine doing anything without him.
Ever since they met in sophomore year, the two were always seen together, until he dropped out,
making senior year dreadful for Y/N.

He had been her only friend in high school.
What a shame they hadn't found each other earlier

Y/N still remembers meeting him.
They were the two quiet kids sitting in the back of english class. She had noticed his "The Smiths"
t-shirt and mustered up the courage to point it out.
It was unreal how easy it was to talk to him.
As if she had known him in her past life.

( He's basically her Twin Flame, if you don't know what that is I suggest you research it. It's extremely cool and I hope everyone finds theirs soon <3 )

Now maybe she had confused the feeling of having an interaction with a male for love.
But if she didn't like him then, she certainly does now.

If you knew Y/N, which you probably didn't, you would know that she freezes up in front of people.
But not with him, he was the only exception.
And that was the start of their friendship.

Y/N kept wishing for puberty to do him dirty.
Hoping he would get uglier so perhaps she would find him revolting or something????
But oh boy was she wrong.
After being away on vacation one summer,
Y/N came back to california to find an unrecognizable man, with a voice deeper than the depths of hell.
( Y/N rn -> o: )
But deep down he stayed the same, and she was thankful for that.

She cherished him so much.
She loved him more than life, coffee, and matt maeson.
However, he had never shown her the affection she wished he would.
She knew how he was and how he saw her in his eyes.
She didn't expect anything but that never stopped her from wishing that maybe one day, he would switch up.

You can tell me meant a lot for Y/N.
He gave her something she thought she would never have.
Somebody to love.

And that is why she would've never told him.
She couldn't lose him.
Y/N wouldn't know what to do without him.

But she did. She told him.
That very day, with him reading the book across the room and her sitting on her bed looking at the textbook.
The look on his face is one she would never be able to forget.
Eyes cold, mouth hanging open.
As if only the bottom half of his face was shocked, and his eyes, well maybe they had already known.

He spoke, "I'm sorry, I thought we were friends and nothing more. I'm not good with love."
And he walked out.
Leaving her all alone, in her bed, crying her eyes out.
Leaving the book on the floor, Tim Burton's Corpse Bride : An Invitation to the Wedding.

Y/N had never seen or heard of him again.
That courage she once had to talk to him years ago was gone.
He hadn't reached out and neither had she
2 years gone to waste because in the end, he left.

She loved him but she could never understand how he could do that to her.
He was her best friend, shouldn't he have stayed.
He didn't have to return her feelings, in fact she had never expected him to.
She just wanted the weight from her shoulder gone.

And it was, as she felt numb.

It took months for Y/N to recover.
There she was.
All alone again.
As if she had never met him.
But he still lives on in her memory.

Y/N had dropped out of university.
She couldn't go through with it with her mental state.
She had always wanted to make a name for herself.
Isn't it ironic.
Having lived all her life not being known.

But that soon changed.
She had begun streaming on twitch as a way to cope.
Doing something she enjoyed.
Doing something she enjoyed because it was a distraction.

She quickly grew in followers.
Y/N was now known.
But not as herself.
As y/t/c.
( your twitch channel, choose something that doesn't have her name in it! )

She had never disclosed her real name.
She had never used her real voice.
She had never shown her face.

In a way, she wasn't known.
But that's what intrigued the viewers.

Soon enough, she moved on.
Cleansed all the memories she had of him and hid them deep in her memory, where hopefully she would never come across them again.

She's met a lot of new people online, but never would she have guessed that 5 years later, she would come across that someone she wished never to see.
