Sworn enemies you were; you and Tom. He hated your guts for no reason, and that made you dislike him. Bickering every day, hexing each other and puling pranks. You two were the duo that didn't want to be a duo. But as the years went on, Tom found himself not able to get you out of his mind. It got to the point where your very presence distracted him from matters at hand. He would catch himself staring at you randomly, or annoyed when someone else was flirting with you. It drove him mad, so he decided to do what his mind was telling him to. He went to ask you out. But unbeknownst to him, you never felt like that. You had always seen the bad in him, and never cared much for the good. And you moved on far too long before. So it was a shock to Tom when he rounded the corridor to see you and your s/o kissing.
