As soon as we finish eating, I take our plates into the kitchen and load them into the dishwasher, doing the same for any dirty dishes that were left on the counters. I won't be a Luna or old lady that expects everyone to clean up after her and not help out once in a while herself. That's just pure laziness and not who I am.

I turn around and bump into Bri, catching her before she falls flat on her ass. "Shit. I'm sorry Bri, I didn't even hear you come in."

"It's all good. You were busy in here and I didn't want to disturb you so I tried sneaking in. I just came in with Lync and I noticed that congratulations are in order? I'm so happy you guys finally completed the bond." She gives me a comforting hug and backs away, keeping her hands on my shoulders as she looks at me in concern.

"How are you doing otherwise? I haven't had a chance to catch up with you since you have been home and I've been worried about you. You know you can talk to me if there is anything bothering you, right?"

Man, this girl. I pull her to me and squeeze her, holding on tight to the one person who has become my friend the second I walked through those front doors not so long ago. She has become like a sister to me and I love her for it immensely.

"I know, and I appreciate that, I really do, but I am fine. I promise. One would think that I would be affected by the attacks in a negative way, but honestly I'm just not letting it get to me. I would do it all over again without hesitation if it meant you getting those pups to safety. I wasn't thinking about myself when it came to stopping those assholes. My wolf and I knew what we needed to do to give you time to get away." I seperate from our hug and start the dishwasher as I continue to speak my mind.

"One thing I realized though is that I need to be more careful and aware of my surroundings. The fact Sterling hired someone to kidnap me shows that he is either biding his time to act on his own or is scared and wants other people to do his work for him. He is obviously willing to do anything to get me to be his Luna and I refuse to put anyone in danger again because of his fucked up obsession with me." I state seriously.

She nods her head in agreement, "I understand. I was terrified when I left you, but I understood why you did what you did. I would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed. I'm just glad you're okay. You are good, right?" The concern in her voice is noticeable as she searches my face, looking for any indication that I'm lying.

I give her a genuine smile to ease her worries, "I am doing alright considering other problems that have been brought to Edric's and my attention, but in regards to the attack, I'm good. Luna's promise."

Her shoulders relax before she starts to make her way out of the kitchen as I follow behind her. She teases me as she looks over her shoulder, "okay, good. No more being a hero and getting yourself injured, Luna. I would like to keep you around for a long time. Which means no more risks without the pack until he is six feet under."

She winks before heading over to the bar stool to sit on Lync's lap, downing the beer that was sitting in front of him. I look around the lounge and don't see Edric anywhere.

"Hey handsome, where are you? I'm in the lounge and ready to go see Valerie. The sooner we find out her part in this, the sooner we can deal with her and get this shit over with. It's getting exhausting pretending to be nice to the female." I say through our mindlink. I don't want to risk anyone hearing what we have planned, so we are keeping it between Edric, Donny and myself for now. The less people who know, the better.

"I'm in the office with Sniper and Donny talking club business. Wait for me by the bar, baby. I'll be right out." Edric responds back immediately, saving me time from searching for him.
