Peggy woke with the warm sun peeking through her window, she sat up in her bed and heard a loud thump; she rolled over to see what had fallen off her bed, the book she had been reading the night before lay open on her floor. She grabbed it and brushed it off before placing it on the bedside table; she would take it to the library after she changed.

Peggy got dressed with the help of the maid, Esther. She looked at herself in the mirror. Today she was wearing a dull pink dress with long sleeves and buttons running the length of the torso. She had her rings on her fingers and Esther clipped a necklace Charity had given her, around her neck. It was a tiny cage with a crystal of emerald inside.

"Take the morning off Esther, go enjoy the sun while you can," she told the maid.

"That's very thoughtful of you miss, but the representative of the clave is coming later this morning and I need to tidy things up," Esther replied.

"Oh, well don't work too hard," Esther smiled at her before leaving the room.

The sun was just peeking through the window, the warm light dancing over Peggy's cheeks, no doubt everyone was still asleep, Peggy had plans to go down and pick up her dress from the shop in the morning; she decided she would eat before everyone and leave straight after.

On her way down to the dining room she stopped off at the library to return the book Emmett had placed on her nightstand the night before. She was just placing the book back on the shelf when she heard the familiar voice.

"Finished it last night clearly" he told her.

Peggy turned to see Emmett leaning on the bookshelf observing her, she hadn't heard him walk in but then she never really hears anyone she is always too absorbed by her thoughts.

"I didn't think anyone was awake yet, it can't be past six in the morning" she told the boy.

"You're right, it is only six in the morning. But I heard you walk pass my room and decided to get up" he told her.

"Am I really that loud?" She asked, Peggy thought she had been quite quiet.

"No, I was just listening at the time" the two walked into the dining room, Peggy told George she wanted to eat a quick breakfast. He brought in some bowls of porridge and a glass of water for each of them.

"Where are you off to? We have the clave representative coming, and Magnus Bane" Emmett asked her.

"Into town, I need to pick up my dress. They aren't coming until ten I have time" she responded, spooning porridge into her mouth.

"In that case I'm coming" he finished his porridge, "meet me outside in ten minutes" he dashed out the door before Peggy could respond.

She finished off her porridge, she grabbed her bowl and Emmetts and took them into the kitchen for George.

"Thank you miss" the cook said to her, "enjoy your morning"

"You too" she left the cook to do the cleaning and headed up to her bedroom where she grabbed her dull pink hat, it had a feather coming out the side where the brim was folded up; she grabbed her thick grey gloves and left to meet Emmett. Peggy was careful to walk extra quiet when she walked past one of the rooms that held a sleeping occupant.

She met Emmett in the courtyard who had the carriage ready, he held out his hand to her and helped her into the carriage.

He sat himself down opposite her and filled the silence, "I think I'm going to get the watch as well, it should be engraved by now"
