Y/N tapped their foot against the wall, one leg on top of the other, hands behind their head.

Katsuki's nails dug into his flesh, blood dripping.

Y/N frowned, sighing heavily as they closed their eyes. They'd been thinking about what had happened the previous day. The symptoms were familiar.

"Bakugou. I need to talk to you." they said, waking out into the hall, followed by the blond.

"What do you want..." Katsuki muttered in a low voice, avoiding making eye contact at all cost. When he did, he immediately looked away and turned red.

"You're awful quiet lately," Y/N said, sliding their hands into their pockets, "haven't tried to kill me with your eyes for a while now."

Katsuki remained silent, body as stiff is a rock.

"Look, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I just wanted to let you know there are options," their voice softened.

Katsuki gritted his teeth, feeling his palms sweat.

"I'll see you in class," Y/N said, walking past him.

See you in class? See you in class?! Christ, Y/N groaned internally, walking into the classroom.

They were greeted by Izuku and his friends.

Katsuki had walked in two-to-three minutes later, dodging Eijirou's advances and sitting in his seat. He didn't look disturbed or angry, more blank and dissasociated.

He was definitely breaking down from the inside.

Y/N had consulted in Izuku privately on how to get Katsuki to deal with his problems. The freckled male didn't have much to tell, but fighting and training usually worked well with Katsuki, he'd said.

So, they decided to try it out.

They weren't sure if it went well, or not.

Katsuki was blasting explosions left and right, screaming his head off as Y/N tried attacking him. It was a concerning process, but it was definitely working.

They weren't sure how they got him to actually agree to spar, but they were pretty proud.

They fought and Y/N could finally witness the glorious and magnificent power of Bakugou Katsuki. He was strong as hell, and a quick thinker. They had to admit, he was amazing.

Except when it came to manners and people.

Eventually, Katsuki had managed to pin Y/N down and win. Y/N was surprised, thinking, maybe they shouldn't go easy on him.

"There, happy?" he grunted, gripping their wrist tightly.

Y/N winced.

"The hell is your endgame here? You should've known I'd beat you, you pathetic loser." Katsuki huffed, "You a masochist or something?"

"It helped, didn't it?" the student under him asked, clearly unfazed by his choice of words or him immobilizing them.

Katsuki's annoyed, confused look turned sour and his face twisted into a frown.

"Was that seriously your reason for all of this?" he got off of them.

Y/N sat up, "did it?"

Katsuki felt his veins overflow.

"I can't fuckin' believe I even wasted my time on a pointless, worthless fight." he spat, turning to walk away.

Y/N quickly stood. "Midoriya said it helped,"

"What?" Katsuki growled.

"He said fighting was your way of expression your frustrations and other emotions, is it not?"

He hated this.

Who was this kid anyway, coming into his personal business trying to piss him off? He would've really hurt them if it weren't for consequences.

"Looking at your expression, I'd say he's right. So? How was it? Did it at least help a little?"

"Why do you even fucking care?" he frowned.

"Because you're having a hard time,"

Katsuki shot them a glare.

Y/N sighed, releasing him. "Because I have a conscience. It's stubborn and moral as hell."

The blond scoffed, looking away.

"It's invasive and a pain in my ass." was all he said.

He's not leaving, Y/N noted internally, he wants help.

"Wanna spar more?" they asked.

Katsuki pressed his lips together, pondering for a moment, before finally getting into it again. He felt better after a while, he needed to let his anger out, and he hadn't been able to for a while. Even during training, he had to reduce his explosions to a third of what he really wanted to do.

Y/N felt relieved, somehow.

They could tell Katsuki was doing much better and it felt nice to help him out.

Katsuki was loud and reckless, and a bit on the annoying side for Y/N.

However, they were observant and careful with everything they did. They didn't mind, though. Katsuki's way of fighting was amusing.

After what felt like the best fight the both of them had in ages, they called it a night without any small talk. It was awkward, but short.

The next day, Katsuki was approached by Izuku. He was just being his usual, worrisome self, trying to look out for his friend.

"I'm fine, Deku." he grumbled awkwardly. It'd only been just a few weeks ago they'd really started to get along.

Izuku pestered Katsuki for another couple sentences before he exploded, scaring him off.

"Do you gotta do that all the time?" Y/N approached from behind, crossing their arms.

Katsuki jerked slightly, the hairs on the back of his neck standing almost immediately. There were little band-aides on the back of his neck.

"Ugh. You would understand if he bothers you twenty-four-seven." he rolled his eyes.

"I don't know, I think it's sweet." Y/N shrugged, walking past him to their seat.

Katsuki scoffed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Hey, Midoriya," Y/N greeted him with a tiny smile, earning a much bigger, brighter one in return.

"What did you do, L/N? Kacchan seems a lot better than he was yesterday," he said, tilting his head to the side.

"Oh, I just started attacking him."

"Y- You what?!" Izuku shouted, eyes bulging.

"Jeez, calm down."

"How are you not dead...?"

"Honestly, I thought I was gonna die. That dude's no joke." they huffed, glancing over at the blond who was accompanied by his sunshine and rainbows boyfriend.

"Hey, uh, I wanted to ask.." Izuku mumbled.

Y/N turned to him, raising an eyebrow.

"Those band-aides on his neck," he said, "was that—"

"It wasn't me." Y/N clarified swiftly, frowning.

Izuku nodded, looking down at his desk. "Right," he sighed.

"Why?" they asked warily, hoping Izuku knew anything.

Instead of an actual answer, he merely shook his head and moved on.
