Chapter 7 (Play: Consequences by ZEINA)

"Go!" coach Bo yelled at us. Nasa field kami today and he's letting us running suicides on the football field.

About halfway through sa pagtakbo namin we heard the whistle blow so we stopped.

"Keep running! I didn't tell you to stop!" coach yelled at us.

We were confused, but kept running anyways. Nako bad mood na naman ata si coach kami na naman napagiinitan.

An hour later coach gave us water break. We all went over to the cooler to get drinks when I finally noticed a group walking while chatting and laughing near the track.

"Oh diba si Cristine yon?" sabi ni Ricci sakin sabay siko at turo kay Cristine.

I turned in that direction and sure enough si Cristine nga yung nasa hulian nila. Kind of on her own world while walking with them. I continued to watch her actions at parang pa rin siyang pake sa paligid niya at hindi niya pa ata ako napansin. I wonder what's on her pretty mind? Then suddenly heard a whistle from coach and told us to get back on the track. The group of girls who are with Cristine finally noticed us but Cristine didn't even look up at me not even once.

"Go!" and we began running again.

Was she mad at me for what happened yesterday?

I was so caught up in my thoughts at hindi ko namalayan na lumagpas na ko sa finish line.

"Nice one Kobe. Keep this up." coach high five me.

Soon enough the rest of the team came running towards the finish line out of breath.

"Alright guys that's enough for today. Go now shower and to your respective classes. See you later." coach said and everyone groaned.

"Hahah stop whinning boys. Hindi na kayo bata sige kayo baka ipaabot ko hanggang gabi ang workout niyo." he said. "I'll text you with the details later."

After I got my bag, I searched around looking for one particular to see her walking alone towards the other direction away from her group.

"You gotta stop staring?" Marco came over standing beside me.

"I wasnt-" he gave me a face before I could even finished what I'm trying to say. "Whatever, man" is all I could say.

"Tara na nga Kobs." aya niya "Ligo na tayo ang init na dito."

"Give me a minute." As I checked on my from and got a text from my mom. "Mauna kana may kakausapin lang ako." I said to Marco then he sprinted papunta sa gym.

I started to walk and trying to catch Cristine before she left here in campus I wonder bakit sila nandito sa loob ng UP. Nasa likuran niya na lang ako at before ko siya abutin bigla siya nag u-turn nabungo niya ako at natumba siya. Ngayon ko lang napansin kung bakit hindi niya ako marinig or kung bakit parang may sarili siyang mundo yun pala nakaheadset siya.

"Oh shoot! I'm sorry!" she said at tumayo hindi pa rin niya ako tinitignan.

"You okay?" I asked her. Then that's when she looked up at me. I can see she was shocked and don't know how to react so she walked past me at sinundan ko siya.

"Wait." sabi ko sakanya.

"What?" she said still looking straight.

"What are you doing for the rest of the day?" tanong ko sakanya. And she just shrugged.
