Chapter 4

2 Years later...   
*KNOCK, KNOCK* "Coming Lacy!" I said. "Today we were going to a Haunted House Park. Because it's getting super close to Halloween! But me and Lacy don't really like going trick or treating. I absolutely love Colorado! There is many nice people here and so many great things to do here! But out of all the nice people, Lacy is the best person." I wrote in my journal. I shut my journal, and ran to get the door for Lacy." "What took you so long?" I asked. "Ok it doesn't matter.". "Ok what are we going to wear? How will we get there? UGH I'm so excited but so frustrated!!!" I said. "Woah, calm down a bit Lacy!" Said Paige. "I'm sorry, it's just that I don't want anything to go wrong because your first Halloween here was NUTS!" "It will all be perfect this year even if there is something wrong. You wanna know why?" "Why?" "Because Lacy you'll be there and with you there I can guarantee everything will be 100% fine." *THE TWO GIRLS HUG*
"Ok Paige, let's get to work!"

Lacy's POV:
"I consider Paige my best friend. But I don't know if she considers ME, HER best friend. And even if she doesn't it's alright because at least we're good friends. I just don't wanna lose her. I can't lose her."
End POV
"Lacy, you ok?" I asked. "Oh um.... yep I'm perfectly good and happy!" She said.

Paige's POV:
Hmmm... Lacy seemed a bit odd. Whenever I ask her if she's ok she NEVER is that enthusiastic when she answers. She usually just say something like, yeah Paige, I'm fine."
End POV
"Ok Lacy... if you say so."  Paige was acting weird and I'm not sure why. Maybe she thinks I'm mad at her! Oh no. "Paige... are you mad at me?" Said Lacy. "No! Why would I be? Or should I be?" "No, I didn't do anything to make you mad, you just seem a bit off". Said Lacy. "Let's get to work then Lacy." Then we got our bike's and rode down to a store to find a costume for the Haunted House Park. Then I asked my mom if she could drive us to the park tonight. "Of course, Paige." She said. Me and Lacy were so excited to go!

Hey, Kelly. So you know Lacy right?

Yep.

Ok, well we're going to the Haunted House Park. So I won't be able to call you tonight. Sorry.😕

Oh... that's fine, maybe tomorrow."
Text's Over

Paige set her phone down. She looked worried or sad. "Hey, are you ok Paige?" I asked. "I guess so. But I think my friend Kelly is mad at me because I'm going to the Haunted House Park with you." "Wait, Paige?" "Um, yeah?" "You just called Kelly "friend" but I thought she was your BEST friend." "No, she's not anymore. You have been there for me more than she ever has. So you are my best friend." Then suddenly, Lacy starts crying and she hugs me.
