Rayne, the daughter of late beta of the jade moon's pack have come across bitter experiences in her 18 years of life since her parents passed away in a wolf war. The alpha of her pack Wilson is a aggressive and feared by the pack members. Rayne has considered him as her fatherly figure since she lost her parents. But Wilson in contrast have done nothing but humiliated and abused her. He always have mistreated her and considered her weak. But this time Rayne had made up her mind to escape the eyes of Wilson and go rouge

Now came the age when Rayne was about to turn 18 and had to attend a ball where wolves from different packs across the world would meet to find their true mate. Rayne is accompanied to ball by Bridgette, the daughter of the alpha.

Bridgette is of same age as Rayne but exactly opposite to her. She is a narcissistic bitch, both by looks and behavior. She have always been on bad terms with Rayne especially when someone showed her some kindness or love . On the contrary her brother Alec was always friendly with Rayne and Bridgette hated this.

Both the girls now attend the ball accompanied by Wilson. Bridgette is all eager to find her mate and is centre of attraction of crowd where as Rayne hides in shadows and waits for Wilson to get drunk so that she can execute her escape plan.

Now comes our Mr. Alpha that is Sebastian, the alpha of Red Wood pack since 5 years.He and his sister Arianna together kept their pack most strong and rich among the west coast.

Sebastian is unable to find his mate since past 5 years and that doesn't seem to bother him because he already has a mistress by the name Gia. Gia has got those looks which can get men go crazy. Sebastian wishes to make her luna of his pack but is opposed by his friends, Flint(beta of the pack) and Justin(gamma of the pack) and his wolf Aries hates Gia. The pack members reason out that Gia have been known to seduce many men in her history and hence she is unfit to be the luna of the pack. Ofcourse, Sebastian ignores this warning.

Sebastian forced by his sister Arianna comes to the same ball for the 6th time to find his potent mate. Not to have anything to do with the concept of finding a mate he moves away from crowd where he is greeted with a passionate kiss by Gia. Both of them lost in thier world do not notice Arianna standing behind them, only to yell at his brother for being with a whore like Gia and stomps out in anger. This doesn't bother them as they sneak out and go to a private place to continue what they left.

On the other hand lost in her own thoughts Rayne collides with Arianna at the ball. Arianna is concerned about the bruises on the face of the girl and worried about her safety, where as Rayne is surprised as she have never met anyone as caring as Arianna. They both talk about their packs and Rayne says how she wants to leave her current pack and go rouge. They are interrupted by furious Wilson who now growls at Rayne and drags her by arm downstairs away from the crowd. He then slaps and yells at her for talking about him to a stranger. Drenched in tears and unable to do anything because of fear and also abandoned by her wolf Rayne stands there when the midnight bell strikes. She suddenly smells Jasmine and vanilla scent which only meant one thing, her mate was near.
