chapter III: On Top

*Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep*

My alarm clock broke through my dream letting me know it was time to go to school. I had already missed four days since the shooting. Didn't respond to any text messages nor phone calls. No lie I had hella hoes mad as fuck at me. I rolled out of bed and dragged myself into the bathroom. After freashing myself up I pick out an outfit for school. The shit  only took two seconds because we had to wear uniforms. Green,yellow, or black shirts and black or khaki pants. Ugly ass colors but it was whatever. I grabbed a piece of toast and walk out the backdoor without talking to anybody. I decieded I was done being antisocial to the world and sat in the back of the bus. The back was like a fucking club. Niggas clowning, bitches sucking dick, music blasting, bottles of dirty sprite being past around. Yeah we were some wild ones. That brought my mood up for the day. I had completely forgotten about the situation until I stepped into the front building. Instantly me and the kid made eye contact. Good so he's not dead, that makes my sentence a lot shorter. Kevin broke our gaze by grabbing me, pulling me towards the stairs.

"We good yo" Kevin jumped up and down all too excited

"What the hell is wrong with you boy. You on something again. Did you take yo meds this morning?"

"Naw, wait what?" Kevin cought onto the insult I just threw at him. "Naw, check this shit out. Old due keeping hush hush on what we did to him. He too afraid we gon come back at him. Yo everyone knows we got mad respect".

My face was blank. Did he just say what think he did. I must be still dreaming. "Well I be damned. We moving up in the world" I say while laughing. On everything it was by the grace of God shit didn't get serious.

I walked into class all happy until I got greeted by Alexis. Alexis was bad as hell. Short mixed with long hair that was actually hers. I swear she puts me on cloud nine whenever we fuck. If I was the type for a relationship I'd probably cuff her and never share. But I'm not and she knows that so she don't really bug me. Well ...... At least untill now.

"Where the fuck has your narrow ass been Tei." She says stopping me in the doorway.
"Watchu mean ma I been at home. I was um sick "
"Stop lying child. I know when you lie. I ain't them other bitches you be fucking with. Save that shit for them goddamnit. I already know what happened" She walks to the back of the classroom where we sit. I sat down beside her and explain to her step by step what happened. Afterward I was done, she just stared at me and then shuck her head.

"You gon get caught up messing around with them fools Tei"
"I know baby" I said and simply place my head on the desk and went to sleep. I didn't give a fuck about class. I never do.

"Come on baby let's get out of here. Come back to my place and let me help you relax your mind " Alexis said sexually as first period ended. "You know you miss this daddy its been a while. "  Alexis lived right behind the school plus her parents were never home. She ain't been with nobody but me so I know she was sexually frustrated. I bit my lip and lean forward to kiss her. She grabbed my hand and led me to the back entrance to the school. As we were leaving I glance over and saw Angel. She gave me this look as if she wanted to say something but couldn't because I wasn't hers.

As soon as we made it to Alexis bedroom door shit got real.
