Hey'all bitches,' Rochelle called over the loud music and immediately started dancing. She yanked me next to her and we both started body rolling and hair tossing. Most people joined in dancing, but after about 20 minutes, dancing and mingling at the same time seemed exhausting. I stumbled into the kitchen for water. There was a guy already filling a cup with tap water so I stood next to him.
'Thirsty work dancing like that, huh?' He smiled and drank from his cup.
'You liked it?' I filled my glass with the gushing cool liquid. My parched tongue dried even more, pressing against the roof of my mouth, preparing for the refreshment.
'You kidding? I could do better than that,' he smirked smugly.
'Well, you noticed it anyway,' I smirked back at him.
He combed his fingers through his dark hair. 'How do you know Rochelle?'
'I'm her best friend, she has never brought you up though, so I'm guessing you are an ex she want to make jealous because you dumped her?'
'How did you know?'
'I'm her best friend, if I didn't make that clear,'
'Come on, I know how to make this party cool,' he gestured me back into the living room, grabbing a beer bottle on his way.
******
In a few moments I was sitting crossed legs next to Rochelle and some guy from my geography. The guy from the kitchen whispered to Sharon. She took the bottle.
'Okay, truth or dare, but since that's babyish let's make it fun,' she grinned.
The guy turned to everyone in a circle and placed a bottle in it. He flicked it with his finger and it went into a blur. After a nail-biting minute of nervous glances, it stopped on Gary Button.
Sharon turned her sickly sweet sneer on Gary.
'Gary, like the snail from Spongebob,' she stood behind him, digging her nails into his shoulders. His eyes swivelled around the room nervously. 'This is no ordinary... "truth" or dare, this game is gonna be... strip or dare, if you don't want to do the dare you have to remove, not one, but two items of clothes, do you understand?'
All of Gary's mates clapped him on the back and cheered for him. They were all those type of brunette statues of muscle, constantly decked up in Nike puffa jackets and Adidas trainers and tracksuits.
'Gary, I dare you too...' Sharon paused, looking around the room. Tension lingered in the air like a terribly bad smell. 'Kiss Finn.'
Gasps travelled through the room at the sound of her words. I felt Rochelle shift with humiliation from being dominated at her own party.
'I'm not gay, I ain't kissing Finn,' Gary snorted and laughed with his mates. Finn look drenched with embarrassment.
'Well, you know the forfeit, remove those clothes,' Rochelle sparked up and bit her lip seductively. Gary looked surprised but kicked off his trainer and peeled off the dirty sock, revealing his toes. He just shrugged like it was normal.
'Pussy!' Finn called out and picked up the dirty sock, swinging it around Gary's face.
'That's enough,' Sharon declared, sharply stepping a single spiky stiletto in front of Finn, startling him. 'Let's spin again.'
Again the bottle went around in a blur, scoffing against the carpet. It landed on me. Sharon gave me her classic smile.
'Olivia, I dare you... to... make out with...' She looked around the room again. My heart thumped through my vest, I had kissed guys before alright, but not with tongue. 'Jess.'
Jess? Was she kidding?
'Sorry to... break your heart Jess,' I turned to her scarlet face. 'But I am not a lesbian.'
The boys shouted "pussy" and all that, booing at me just because they didn't see two hot girls making out in front of them. I knew the forfeit, that's why I took it. I slipped my feet out of my heels, wriggling my toes in delight as the painful rubbing was relieved.
'Well, we all knew that was obvious,' Sharon rolled her eyes at me.
'Excuse me,' Rochelle perked up. 'Why you picking on her for?'
'I didn't,' Sharon clawed her hand at her chest. 'The bottle did.'
'The bottle has a weight on it, spin it again,' Rochelle squinted her eyes at Sharon. Again the bottle went into twirl, making my own eyes ache from dizziness. It came to a sudden stop on me again.
'Told you,' Rochelle folded her arms. Sharon smirked at me.
'Dare?' She looked at me, knowing my answer. Well, she knew the the wrong answer.
'Yes,' I stood up and folded my arms at her. She looked shocked but tried hard to cover it.
'Okay, make out with Oscar,' she nodded.
'Who's Oscar?' I looked around my classmates and craned my neck to scan through the people in the hallway and kitchen.
Rochelle stood up and tugged at my hair, twisting my head to a guy in the corner. The guy who refilled his water with me.
