Nothing... Not one lashing. She wondered what could possibly draw away the attention of The Lord. She looked up and saw a wagon had pulled up next to the front door. The Lord was talking to a handsome young man, about her age, and he wore a full set of armour (apart from the helmet). The Lord then ran up to Evangeline with the knight accompanying him and said "I'll sell you this peasant for 100 gilders and she has no parents as promised."
"Good I will buy her!" agreed the knight in a jolly accent.

Evangeline and the knight made there way to the wagon. She did not look up she just stared at the ground to prevent being told off by her new boss. "What is your name?" asked the knight to Evangeline.
"Do I have permission to speak sir?"
"Yes you do."
"My name is Evangeline Sir."
"Pleasure to meat you, my name is Sir Matthew but please call me Matthew."
"Of course, Matthew."
Matthew told Evangeline to sit in the front where you steer the horses and he sat in the back. Evangeline watched the horse rider and asked her questions about her new home. The horse rider called Grace, said the master was incredibly kind and all his peasants where girls. She said that the masters sister was killed by a lord because she talked back to him. He understands how hard it is for women so he swore on his life he would help all serf women live properly.
"So what was life like in your old home?" asked Grace
"I... I can't complain... My parents died when I was young..."
"That's horrible" exclaimed Grace
"It's ok because the local Bishop took me in. He taught me things like cooking, farming, piano, crossbow, Christianity and loads more!"
"He sounds like a nice guy."
"He was a nice guy... He died 3 years ago, he took me in and loved me and I never got to thank him..."
Grace nudged Evangeline and said "Don't worry, you have a new home now."
