[Just a short fluff I had the inspiration for heheh]

3rd person POV:

New glanced worriedly at the patient that slowly stirred. His fingers twitched slightly and it wasn't long before his eyes fluttered open.

"How are you feeling?" New asked gently, leaning forward to pet Tay's head fondly.

"..." Tay's eyes widened, his mouth slowly hanging open but no words came out. He looked mesmerized and stared dreamily at New.

"Te.. are you okay?" He asked, furrowing his brows.

"...w-" a syllable slipped from his lips. His voice was raspy and it cracked. His cheeks were also getting red, and New was getting more and more worried at how weird Tay was acting.

"W? W what? Do you want water? Is that it?" New asked, turning to pour a glass for him. He handed it to Tay but he was still in a daze.  In the end, New lifted his metal straw from his drink and placed it into Tay's cup, bringing it to his parted lips.

"Drink." He commanded.

Tay seemed to obey, seeing as he began sipping slowly. However, his eyes were transfixed onto New's face. Tay even blinked a few times in surprise.

New waited patiently for Tay's brain to start functioning, and pricked his ears when the older began to speak.

"...wow." Tay whispered, staring at New with doey eyes.

"...what?" New tilted his head.

"...an angel." He gasped. New wondered if his ears were working correctly. What the hell was this idiot saying?

"What angel?" New pursed his lips, following Tay's eyes as he turned to look behind him.

But there was nothing there.

"...Did I die?" Tay whispered.

"What? Of course not." New scrunched his face in confusion. What the hell was he talking about?

"But I see an angel." Tay breathed, a small smile of disbelief tugging at his lips.

"...I should call a doctor." New sighed, getting up to leave. Tay was definitely not in his right state of mind. Did the surgery go wrong? But they didn't even operate on his brain!

"W-wait! Don't leave, angel." Tay cried out desperately. He made an attempt to get up and winced in pain right after.

New hurriedly dashed back to Tay's side, pushing him back down flat against the bed. He narrowed his eyes, a frown on his lips as he warned Tay not to get up.

But Tay started blushing at their contact. The angel was close, so close! He was even touching his shoulder! Tay's eyes flitted around the room as he bit his twitching lips.

"U-um, this isn't appropriate, angel." He stuttered.

"..." New simply stared at him, speechless. He let go and sank back down onto his seat. It hadn't even been five minutes since Tay woke up and he felt tired already.

"A-angel, don't be mad. I... I... if its you, I actually don't mind..!" Tay screwed his eyes shut as he shouted.

"What the hell are you talking about, idiot?" New was completely flustered, pink tinting his cheeks as he hurriedly slapped his hand over Tay's loud mouth.

They were in a hospital for pete's sake!

It was fortunate that he was in a private room so no one heard his embarrassing proclaimation. New took a look at Tay who looked like he was bracing himself for a punch and sighed, smiling as he shook his head.
