"Hurry the fuck up!! We're going to be late!"

"Sorry, I'm coming!" Jackson says as he runs down the marble stairs in a hurry, but careful not to slip like last time.

"Can't you move any faster? let's get going before I miss all the fun!" Tao screams as he heads for the door.

"W-wait...I umm wanted to..ask you something." Jackson says with his head down.

He knows Tao hates when he initiates eye contact for too long. But Jackson wants to at least try and mend their friendship. The silence that follows only makes Jackson more nervous.

"Well? Spit it out already I don't have all day!" Tao says, clearly annoyed.

"It's nothing serious...it's just that we're going to party at Jongup's house right?.. he has a pool..so I was hoping you could teach me how to swim?.. you promised me a while ago.," Jackson says timidly.

Tao glares at him for a few seconds before letting out a long sigh. He slowly walks over to Jackson and pulls him close by the collar of his shirt.

"Are you stupid or what? First of all, it's fucking cold do you really think I'm getting in a pool just so you can learn to swim?"

Tao continues to stare. "And most importantly, you know the only reason why I put up with you is because of your mom. But she's gone now so don't push your luck. We are NOT friends, so don't try to act friendly with me..got it?!"

With that, Tao grabs Jackson's arm and roughly pulls him outside towards one of the many expensive cars he owns.

With unshed tears in Jackson's eyes, they head to the party.

They end up arriving on time. Jackson looks out the car window to see groups of people arriving. The loud music can be heard even from the outside and there are piles of beer bottles scattered around the expensive-looking front lawn.

They get out of the car and head inside the house. Tao instantly goes off to find his friends and tells Jackson to not bother him the whole night.

Jackson knew this would happen so instead of waiting for Tao like other times, he decides to look around. He has been to Jongup's house before, for the countless parties he throws, but never got the chance to explore the beautiful home.

He stumbles upon a smaller room upstairs with the door completely open. He heads inside and finds it filled with different paintings and art pieces that surely cost a fortune.

Jackson doesn't know much about art but all the pieces are intriguing enough that he doesn't notice someone at the door.

"Do you always snoop around people's homes without their permission?" Jongup laughs as he leans in the doorway.

Jackson literally jumps back at hearing Jongup's voice. "Jongup Hyung! I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to be nosy-"

"It's fine Jackson, I'm just teasing! Don't worry you can look around all you want."

"Still. I'm being rude, I should've asked before coming in here. I'm sorry...I'll just leave.." Jackson says as he starts walking towards the door. That's when Jongup grabs his arm to stop him.

"Hey, I said it was fine. Plus it seemed like you're interested in my art collection. So how about I show you some of my favorites, yeah?" Jongup cheerily suggests.
